There are a few of us here who collect & display original cinema movie posters, which can be had for as little as $5-$10. $25+ is not uncommon for recent popular posters. Original Star Wars & other classic cinema posters can sell for $hundreds. Classic stuff from early on in the 20th century can sell for hundreds to thousands. As I have movie-poster light boxes in my HT room, my preference is for original DS (double-sided) cinema movie posters. DS posters really came into play after 1990 and backlit in lightboxes. They look fantastic back-lit. Prior to ~1990 original cinema posters were single-sided and front lit, like you would any print or photo in a frame. Every now and then I covet an older poster ie pre 1990 that is not available double-sided. For a few years I have longed to be able to buy an original American Graffiti movie poster, but these can sell for up to $750 in mint condition. I did a bad, bad, thing. I finally succumbed & bought one in 'very good to fine' condition. G'day all I have 4 movie poster light boxes for sale, and a truck load of original cinema double sided & a few original cinema single-sided movie posters for sale from my own personal collection I have been amassing over recent years. I sold my home cinema included with the house I sold in February, so I don't have use for these. Most posters are from USA. Some of the light boxes are new, never used. Light boxes suit 'single sheet' size posters. Dimensions of light boxes are 1115h x 775w x 100d. I think one of them may be 50mm deep, I'll have to check. Situated in Mooroolbark Melbourne 3138. Posters are original 'single sheet' size ie cinema size, not aftermarket 900 x 600 size.
