  1. Further Information: High efficiency speakers, great with low power valve amps, and I understand they can handle some power too if you prefer solid state. The Diva was given an award for tone, timing, dynamics, and afjustability when reviewed on 6 Moons, and the reviewer bought a pair. I’ve used them with an 8 watt 300b single ended amp, and it’s a great match. They are 97db efficient into 8 ohms. I was living in an apartment when I bought these, and they were one of a few speakers that would work in that space with my preference for low power valve amps. They were happy against a wall with the front port. Now that I have a larger space they fill it with ease, lovely warm tone. I’ve owned them for 8 years and have been very happy with them. They are in excellent condition. Hand made in Austria with beautiful veneers. I have the original boxes for the speakers. Stands are included.
  2. Further information: Hi all, Selling this as I am figuring out I didn’t use it in a while, so it’s a shame to have it sitting in my work desk without use. works great, it has all accessories and box and everything. I will add a Chromecast Audio (for convenience of use) and an Audioquest Forest USB cable) Best thing: It’s the white version, the prettiest one. Photos: I will add better photos later. 6. Item: Speaker Boxes for 12" full range drivers Location: Canberra Price: $350 Item Condition: Cosmetically as you can see, a bit nocked around superficially Reason for selling: No room for them Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: This is project which is beyond me now due to the need to move somewhere smaller rather quickly. These boxes were made by Peter Campbell, who is well known in Tannoy circles for putting up the first Aus Tannoy page,. They are 1" MDF and heavily braced. They have 2vents for tuning, although on one speaker they have been covered over,- it means you can compare vented versus sealed cabinets before settling on your preferred. They come with some sheets wool insulation, which you can experiment with. The cabinets are 35x57x105 cm. They are running some magnificent Phillips studio monitor coaxial- one of the best wizer speakers ever made, and my god, they sound amazing. So close to Tannoys. They could probably do with some further tuning , and are an extra $300 if you want them. The work superbly with JBL d123's too if you can get them (the ones designed for front fitting). The final shots are the inside, so you can se how solid the bracing is in each. They are apt rough on the outside and stained with a fairly thin wash stain. Very easy to paint or stain over (or whatever) Die to the weight and size these are a pick up job, fr anyone with a van, ute or trailer, and its only 3 hours down the highway from Sydney (and whilst here you can check out the great museums etc) In the pics they are shown with Richard allan, but they are not included Pictures:

Item: Phillips 40 inch 4K 60hz Monitor (BDM4065/UC) Location: Kew, Vic Price: $500 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Not being used Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I purchased this monitor 1.5 years ago to use on a large desk. I paid $999 for it at the time so it's roughly half price here. It worked really well as a 4k display with low input lag for gaming at 60hz and really fantastic black levels when watching movies. More info here: https://www.philips.com.au/c-p/BDM4065UC_75/brilliance-led-backlit-lcd-display Pref local pickup (happy to demo)
  8. Further information: Dell 27 Curved Gaming Monitor – S2722DGM 165Hz 1ms QHD Curved Gaming Monitor Purchased few months ago, so still under warranty from Dell. Works fine No box Local pick up only, hence, Castle Hill, NSW 2154
  9. This is one of Dell's UltraSharp, wide gamut monitors (so, full Adobe colour space). Bought in 2013 - well looked after (ask anyone who knows me how well I take care of my monitors!). No delivery, as I cannot pack these things.
  10. Picked up a pair fo the JBL 4312M II Compact Monitors as part of the group buy below, Some official info below, I understand these were destined for the Japan market and we managed to get a few for ourselves aswell, not quite the classic wood and blue JBLs just the black versions ... but hey they'll still sound the same am sure Arrived promptly ... and did a quick unboxing... seem to be packed pretty well, from the manual can see was destined for Japan market... Getting them out of the box these are far more sturdier than expected. Quite solid actually. The dials for adjusting mid and tweeter move either side of 12 O'clock in notches either way... Grills velcro on so easily removed, nicely finished behind the grills, amazing for a 3 way speakers of this little size.... good binding posts and overall look pretty smart in the finish... with rear threaded mounting points as would expect for a monitor... Hopefully others can chime in with thoughts... and also listening experience and how these are in ownership....
  11. Further information: Purchased from MSY in July 2020. Thought to get an ultrawide screen to ease my workload while working from home. Used for 20 hours and can not get used to the change. Swapped my old monitor back and placed this in storage and forgot about it. Thought to pass it on when I'm not using it rather than keeping it in storage. This was used with display mount, hence the desk stand that came with the monitor was never even opened. See photos below and feel free to ask me any questions. Shipping is possible at buyer's cost. Photos: attached, all photos taken at date of posting PLEASE READ If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved
  12. Further information: This is a sensational pair of Australian made monitors. I could wax lyrical about how great they are, but you can just read pete_mac's listing of a similar pair from a few years ago to understand how highly regarded these are -> If pete_mac says they are good, you know it's true.. Cosmetically, note these items: The cabinets are in VGC overall with just a few minor marks. One rear corner has a small ding. (see pic) If you have the time and patience, these cabinets would look amazing if you removed all the drivers then sand and re-stain them. The cloth grilles are a bit warped. This happened because when I bought them the covers were quite duty so I immersed them in water to wash them. I thought the frames were resin, but it turns out they are a fibrous cardboard/foam material and they absorbed the water. The warping is not noticeable from front on. There s a small hole in the fabric of one cover. Original heavy metal stands included, as pictured. Audition may be possible (with COVID-19 precautions) in near future if Melbourne metro COVD-19 restrictions are eased. Questions welcome. Pickup only unless you wish to arrange shipping through pack n send. (I don't have shipping materials for these). 13. The S4700 is a floor-standing 3-way high-performance loudspeaker built upon the same professional-grade technology used in the acclaimed Project K2 S9900, one of the most advanced and sophisticated loudspeakers in the world today. At its foundation, the S4700 uses an all-new cast-frame 15-inch woofer (2216Nd) with a powerful dual 3-inch voice coil and neodymium motor structure for outstanding balance with the horn-loaded compression drivers. Mid- and high-frequencies are reproduced by a pair of titanium diaphragm compression drivers and a single-piece, SonoGlass® dual horn assembly. The 2-inch Aqua-Plas™-coated titanium diaphragm compression driver (175Nd-3) is mated to a 90° x 60° Bi-Radial® horn and delivers mid- and high-frequencies with lifelike dynamics and startling realism while an ultra-high frequency 0.75-inch titanium diaphragm compression driver (138Nd) with a 60° x 30° Bi-Radial horn recreates critical air and spaciousness. Premium-quality network components and dual binding post inputs ensure audiophile performance in any application. The attractive furniture-grade cherry wood veneer enclosure is internally braced at critical points and is tuned via a rear-firing port. The S4700 is intended for use in high-performance 2-channel audio systems or as an LCR loudspeaker in a JBL Synthesis multi-channel home theater installation

  15. Hi all. I finally joined stereo.net.au and just had an observation and partly a question if you can decipher my puzzle of thoughts. I bought a pair of Usher s-520s a week or so ago and have been listening to music and some movies and tv shows through pc. I am missing some of the midrange richness I get from my shure se535 (very mid forward) and HE-500s (same source). I figured the sound signature would be different but I am finding that I am missing some of that richness. I am getting new cables and an SVS SB12 sub for the lower end, so I am not immediately looking to change the speakers, as I am excited to see how these additions change my experience. Other than that these are fantastic for the price. I will listen longer of course and make up my mind eventually but for now what are people's opinions? Is there another reasonably priced speaker which has all of the Usher's good attributes with perhaps a tad more richness. Wondering what other people's opinions were - does the sound signature will change over time. I suppose I will get used to the sound as it is different and still nice (I'm sure it will be sweeter with the sub coming next week). Btw Deep Hz Audio is a fantastic company to deal with after calling around a few companies down South. But still looking for opinions.
  16. Hi guys! I'm quite new to sound and studio monitors and all the like, but I'm trying. I bought a pair of Gale Mini Reference Monitors and my end goal is for use w/ my computer. Anyway, it's a 15-100 watt recommended amp rating, and...uh...6 ohms Nominal.. but I'm not sure what that means. Now to get these little UK-born bad boys hooked up to my computer, I think I need a 100 watt amp with USB capabilities. Firstly, am I right? or stupid? Now, I've shopped around and according to JB Hi-fi I need a full on multimedia hi-fi amp, but that's money that nobody wants to spend. I've sourced a little 100 watt amp from amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Pyle-PFA400U-100-Watt-Class-T-Amplifier/dp/B0071HZ5RI ) so I guess I just want to know if this will be the right sort of amp? and if not what do you guys suggest? Thanks so much in advance for any help, it's greatly appreciated

  23. Hi everyone, We're currently running a competition on Facebook to win an M4 Mk2 mini monitor kit. head over to our page for all the details! Regards, Daniel
  24. Hi Everyone, We weren't at all happy with the quality of the speaker stands supplied to us in the past, so we decided to get a few different models in to test. We've just added our 3 favourites to the store! The Dayton model is an extremely sturdy stand that is as serious as it looks. The other two models are neat looking stands, both with sleek black tubes and tempered glass bases and tops. Check them out here! Regards, Daniel
  25. Hi everyone, I just wanted to get your opinions on something. We've had a few people hinting at cheaper pricing on the M4 kits, and one customer actually suggested having the speaker grills as an optional extra to reduce costs. We could do this and reduce the price to $379 per pair, what are your thoughts? Regards, Daniel
