  2. Hi all, Due to a general lack of time to enjoy my audio collection, I have decided to move on my ultimate headphone setup. This comprises Sennheiser's incomparable HD 800 headphones, a Lehmann Audio Black Cube Linear headphone amplifier, and a PS Audio NuWave DAC. These three components combine perfectly to produce a headphone listening experience that I am yet to find a better alternative. Located in Melbourne, Victoria. I am happy to discuss interstate shipping at the buyers cost. Price for all three as listed is $2,400. For anyone wishing to purchase all three together, I will consider reasonable offers around that price point. ** Special ** - buy all three at my asking price of $2,400 and I will include 2 x pairs of Chord Chrimson RCA interconnects valued at over $300 for no cost. I strongly recommend purchasing all three components together, as I invested a significant amount of time, money, and efforts in finding the ultimate system at a reasonable price point. Any new owner would not be disappointed These are three main components, including individual price, manufacturer's links and review links where appropriate: 1. Headphones - Sennheiser HD 800's There isn't much I can say about the Sennheiser HD 800's that hasn't already been written. They are truly epic headphones. I have auditioned the other big names, and the Sennheisers to my ears are simply the best. New cost - $1500 Yours for - $950 Manufacturer's description: More than 60 years of ingenious headphone engineering has been applied into the new HD 800. You will form an altogether new height of sonic perspective as you experience a high-fidelity natural hearing experience. Do take note that presently, no other manufacturer has been able to come up as close as the HD 800 in replicating the basic acoustic conditions of natural hearing. Matching these headphones' reference-grade audio performance is their striking and visually effective industrial design. Premium parts have gone into their production - the transducer is encased by a precision material made of stainless steel. The earpads are handcrafted from a high-quality microfiber fabric. This material is extremely comfortable to wear and easy to maintain. The headband and headphone mounting utilises the most advanced development from the aerospace industry. In terms of connectivity, these headphones utilise specially-designed, four-wire, high-performance connections. Truly, the HD 800 are a glorious success and have become a pioneer in headphone development. Headphone Amplifier - Lehmann Audio Black Cube Linear This headphone amp produces the power needed to properly power the Sennheiser HD 800's. With this amplifier, sounds comes out of a pure, noise free environment that is nothing short of breathtaking. You will not find a better match for the HD 800's than this amplifier. Check out this review on Youtube. Manufacturer's description: Already since 2004 the Linear has made all common headphones to shine at their very best. New cost: $1,000 Yours for: $700 Review on WhatHiFi - rated 5 stars - http://www.whathifi.com/lehmann/black-cube-linear/review Manufacturer's link (note slight name change and revised facia) - https://www.lehmannaudio.com/headphone-amplifiers/home/linear.html 3. Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) - PS Audio NuWave DAC If you don't feed the headphone amplifier and headphones with a pure analog signal, you will never achieve the best possible performance. The NuWave DAC connects to your PC or Mac via USB, and produces the best sound you can imagine. Optical inputs are also available and the sound is equally impressive. New cost: $1,200 Yours for: $750 Manufacturer's description: The NuWave DAC is an affordable high-end digital to analog processor. Based on our acclaimed PerfectWave series, the NWD accepts inputs from any digital source including USB (up to 192kHz 24 bit asynchronous) from your computer and connects to your system’s preamplifier with either single ended (RCA) or balanced (XLR) connections. The NuWave DSD will transform your expectations of what’s possible in an under $2,000 DAC. The added detail and space produced by the NuWave DSD on good old Red Book CDs alone is worth the price of admission. What makes the NuWave DSD so great? We’ve taken the lessons learned from one of the world’s best DACs, the DirectStream, and applied them to a smaller-scale, lower-cost unit. Like the DirectStream before it, the NuWave DSD produces a seamless 3D soundstage from even normal CDs. Hand-tuned and personally voiced by Paul McGowan, the improvement in sound quality over other DACs is astonishing. The NuWave DSD accepts inputs from any digital source including I2S and USB from your computer and connects to your system’s preamplifier with either single ended (RCA) or balanced (XLR) connections. Used with music server software like JRiver, Bit Perfect, Amarra or Pure Music and an iPhone or Android app, the NuWave DSD becomes your entry into the world of high-end digital audio music, both PCM and DSD. Performance is superb at anywhere near the price and there’s good reasons why, as you’ll soon discover. In fact, the NuWave DSD is one of the best sounding products we have produced in our 23 years of building DACs. Sweet, spacious and effortless, this device will bring the life back into your music and all at the touch of a finger. http://www.psaudio.com/products/nuwave-dac/ Final notes: I have boxes for all the components. It is possible to audition the equipment if you are in the Melbourne area. Happy to answer any questions that any potential buyers might have. Some images:

  10. Hi, I have been growing into computer audio for the past year and I am thinking about building my final build. Looking at my parts list and doing some research I did come across quit a few positive reactions about using linear power supply's. I would prefer to have the possibility to demo some of these computer parts before buying them. I am a bit skeptical since I own a specialized USB card who doesn't seem to make a difference, tested an USB cable that doesn't seem to make a difference compared to a stock one, and had a breve experience with an Audiophilleo2 that didn't seem to make a difference either. If you have some hardware related to computer audio that you are willing to share/demo/borrow with me that would be highly appreciated.

  12. ello, Up for sale are 3 items: Uptone USB regen - $110 sold Curious USB link (for USB regen) - $75 sold Longdog Audio 12 amp psu for PC - $600 (a little known brand over here in Aus but PSU this was made by the same guy that built my Longdoc dac - check out the reviews that got here to get an idea of his talents) sold In combination, these provide a nice upgrade for any budding PC audio enthusiast at a very realistic price point. Everything has original boxes and was all purchased brand new by me. Only ever been in my system and come from a loving, smoke, children and pet free home. I'm only selling because I've moved higher up the food chain at a considerable cost. If you want the lot we can talk about a lower price, otherwise, these are all priced very fairly. These prices don't include shipping - you can cover that anyway you like. Jeez - that must be a record for me lol!
  13. Item: Wyred4Sound Remedy Reclocker + Gieseler Linear Power SupplyLocation: Cleveland, QLD (4163)Price: $475 (Shipping +$15, PayPal +3%)Item Condition: Used, very good conditionReason for selling: No longer required.Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal (+3%) , Bank TransferExtra Info: Listing is for a Wyred4Sound Remedy Reclocker (purchased 20-Oct-2015) and a Gieseler Linear PSU (purchased 31-Dec-2015), original Australian printed invoices are included for both items. Used between a Sonos Connect and a Devialet 120 to great effect, reduced jitter was immediately noticable and converted the Connect into a high-performance device. Although the reviews for the Reclocker have generally been very positive, I've found that the performance jump added when using the Gieseler Linear PSU to the Reclocker took its performance into a whole new realm (a bigger jump than the reclocker itself out of the box!) , and once heard with it, couldn't recommend listening without it. I've found the performance jump gained with this combo scales well when using even better sources/dac, not just entry/mid level etc. Current RRP $870+ Review: http://www.digitalaudioreview.net/2014/08/wyred4sound-remedy-spdif-reclocker-review/ Website: https://wyred4sound.com/products/digital-converters/remedy-reclocker Reclocker Features (from website): Utilizes an incredible Femto-grade clock Superior jitter reduction Toslink and Coaxial digital inputs Toslink, Coaxial, BNC digital outputs 96kHz output sampling frequency* Digital inputs support up to 24/192kHz 9VDC power supply included 5 year warranty Gieseler Linear PSU: Description This linear low noise DC power supply is designed to improve the performance of digital audio accessory devices that are normally powered by small SMPS plug-packs. All the internal components are of high quality & are selected for reliability & sound quality where applicable. Capacitors are Nichicon Fine Gold, Panasonic or Elna Silmic II’s. It is powered by external IE core transformers. These have a distinct advantage over the usual Toroidal type as they have better isolation between the windings & lower bandwidth means less HF noise coming in via the mains. Also being external there is less radiated hum entering the power supply circuitry. Noise, hum & ripple levels are very low due to the common mode choke pre filtering & low noise Linear Technology high performance regulators. Also what helps to reduce noise as well is the use of Schottky diodes & a transformer LC snubber. The DC output cable/connection is an area that is often neglected; so I have gone to extra lengths here to get it right. The DC output on the supply uses a Neutrik 6 Amp XLR gold pin socket. The supplied DC cable uses a matching Neutrik gold pin plug hand soldered to a 10A lead with moulded DC barrel connector for ruggedness. Specifications Noise level is approximately 20 uV to 40 uV d. Ripple & hum rejection is approximately 100 dB. Short circuit & thermal protection. Website: http://gieseler.com.au/ProductsPage/index.html Pictures:
