  1. Bellevue Heights Blues Fest+ GTG

Sounds great... my first GTG perhaps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The new (and hopefully good) movies coming thread

Saw a preview screening of Alien Covenant last night and I thought it was pretty awesome. I could say so much more but wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I'll be picking up a Sony TC-353D reel to reel (similar to the pic) on the weekend. Apparently it worked fine a couple of years ago and had just one owner (the seller). Does anyone have any advice on whether this is a good RTR buy at about $100? Any tips or tricks for getting this up and running? Does anyone in SA have spare tapes at a good price? Cheers, Mark
  4. FS: Yamaha vintage set!!

Looks great! bet it sou da great too... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Ed Sheeran - Divide

John Mayer isn't a virtuoso performer by any means and some of his recordings have pretty drab percussion and accompaniments, but I like his voice, his way with words and his melodies. Not for the "musos" maybe... but I enjoy most of his work. And there's that guy who uses the name "Passenger"... He busks in the Mall when he in Adelaide.

Love these TV Spots for Alien Covenant... should be amazing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Ed Sheeran - Divide

I haven't really given the album a proper listen at home but it sounds great in the car... might have to give it a proper listen tomorrow. I agree he's pretty refreshing and his style is hard to pigeonhole. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'm keen to start selling some of my classical vinyl. Will message you... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Any of the various ABC Classic FM "100" series CDs would be a good place to start. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. GTG in Belair

Yes, I guess we would need a base system. I can organise a basic setup but nothing fancy. Just an idea at this stage... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. GTG in Belair

Hey! I know that for all you Adelaide audiophiles it's all about having the perfect setup in your home. And I gather that GTG's typically happen at someone's house were everyone can listen to a magnificent system.... I'm wondering if a sort of swap-meet where people bring excess gear along and we play around with it would be good? I am managing the Belair Community Centre and it would make a great venue for something like that... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. When do you use your headphones?

Funny... I never really use headphones even though I have a few sets. I never listen to my vinyl late at night when everyone else is asleep, but might start and will let you know how I go. Have some decent Sennheisers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hi! I'm Mark. I live in Adelaide (Glenalta) and am getting more serious about Hifi. I currently listen to vinyl on a 70's PYE, through an ONKYO receiver and Energy speakers - nothing to special yet. But I have lots of other gear (like an old Harmon Kardon) that I need to connect up and other units that needs repairs. I collect vinyl and CDs and have built up quote a collection of quality classical vinyl recently. Wish I could find more affordable jazz on vinyl!
