  1. When the app is opened it recognises Volumio and it appears as the default player...so no need for IP details...here is the opening screen.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I just downloaded the Volumio app for iPhone......had music playing from a PC using the web browser. (Volumio) Opened the Volumio app on the phone, selected Volumio and was able to take control of the music. No need to put in any IP details. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. @Sime. Appreciate the generous offer....unfortunately I'm just outside the ACT...so just a tad far[emoji30]...also a bit outside my budget of 3.5k. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Been away for a while and have gotten back into looking at amp options to suit the B&W 803's. Have come up with the following that are currently available: 1. Macintosh MA6300 integrated amp. 2. Musical Fidelity M6 PRX power amp, ('which means I'd also need a pre amp...any suggestions welcome) 3. Vincent SP T800 Monoblocks (also need a pre amp) 4. Prima Luna Premium valve Amp. Would appreciate any comments of the suitability or otherwise of any of the above.....are any of the above "standouts"? Cheers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Pm sent with intent to buy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Just did an update....now the network drive is not mounted.....so no music visible. I can't see a way of mounting the drive in Volumio options? Have tried adding it as a new drive, but still comes up as "unmounted". What am I missing/ doing wrong? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Still listening......sounds pretty darn good to me so far[emoji106]....very crisp, clear & detailed sound. I'm using Volumio....I notice you use Roon....is there much difference between them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Got it up and running[emoji16]......now for some listening tests.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. "mwhouston" Thanks for all your advice! Will make up the box and mount everything before powering up......probably tomorrow. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. This photo shows connections as I understand them to be. Power in to filter not shown as yet, but to go to the two pins at bottom of filter with earth to middle pin on topside. Does this look ok to you? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Yes, as mentioned I am a novice.....but I wasn't going to plug this into anything without getting it reviewed...appreciate your frank advice. It will all be housed in a custom made box before being used. A couple of final questions....do I need to unwrap the transformers before fixing them? Should I seperate the trannies and or dac board by any specific distances? Thanks for your advice[emoji4] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Ok, got that[emoji106]. Does it matter which sides the red & orange do to? Am I correct in assuming on the 9v tranni the orange and yellow go to one of the 9v inputs and red and black go to the other 9v input? Can the blue wires to the filter be paired any way? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Is this roughly correct?[emoji848]......not sure which colour wires go where on the DAC connection? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Not sure what you mean? Side of the trannie says...."RED-BLACK+YELLOW-ORG" Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
