  1. Are you using wifi? If so try a direct lan connection to see if solves the problem.
  2. Hi, I need a new network card for my Marantz SR7011 - I have trolled the internet trying to locate one but been unsuccessful. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement card?
  3. HI I have a dilemma. I want to purchase a new Home Theater amp as my Marantz AR7701 died but I cannot find any new models that support 5 channel Audio input. I need this for my extensive DVD-Audio / SACD collection which I currently play through my OPPO 105D which has analogue 7.1 outputs. I have compared HDMI multi channel with the dedicated analogue multi channel and the HDMI separation does not come close. I have all the music stored as FLAC files so my question is... Is there a Home Theater Receiver which supports multi channel 192/24 FLAC audio through USB? I see the specs on most amps which say they support USB 192/24 but they don't say how many channels. If anyone knows of an amp that supports this I would really appreciate your input. Steve
  4. Hi Alex No I didn't get your message and only just seen this post. I need to add however that I did not realize that they were Canadian made which has really put me off them. The worst speakers I have ever owned where Paradigm monitor speakers so any speakers made in Canada is a no no for me, sorry. I am sure the Swans are in a different league and hope you manage to sell them. Best regards Steve
  5. Hi Alex I am interested but I live in the Central Coast - any idea how much postage would cost? Steve
  6. Price Drop - $1,700 and I will pay the courier Responses to questions asked. I don't have the original receipt, it was lost when I moved. Its the original bulb - reason for low lamp life is that its installed in my weekend retreat home so I only ever used it on Saturday nights. I bought it 2 and a half years ago. This is an excellent projector, and an absolute bargain. Steve
  7. Item: Sony VPL-HW40ES projector Location: The Entrance, Central Coast NSW Price: $2100 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Upgraded to 4K Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: 656 Hours on the lamp which means 2,344 hours left. I really loved this projector, it's so clear and the quietest projector I have ever owned. If I hadn't upgraded all my other gear to 4K I definitely wouldn't be selling it. It's been on the ceiling since the first day I bought it so no scratches. I put new filter in a couple of months ago. Pictures:
  8. Yes - I realize that as Atmos is not listed in the audio streams. They really shouldn't be allowed to print the Dolby Atmos logo on the disc cover should they, it's very confusing.
  9. Solved... am I a dill or what? I didn't realize that there were 2 disc's in the case, Bluray and UHD - I was playing the Bluray!!
  10. Update - I tried The Great Wall UHD disc and that does come up with the Atmos soundtrack! On closer inspection of the other 2 discs, although they carry the Dolby Atmos logo they don't specifically state it in the audio soundtrack. Oblivian does state 'English Atmos Dolby True HD' which implies it had Dolby Atmos or is this another variant? Kazz - thanks for your response, does the OPPO decode the Atmos soundtrack or is it the AMP that does the decoding?
  11. Hi all I have just purchased a UB900 and a couple of UHD disks both of which say they have Dolby Atmos (Oblivion and Jason Bourne). It would seem my Amp does not pick up the Dolby Atmos track but when I play in a normal Bluray with Atmos it does pick it up, anyone else experienced this? I did follow the instructions in the manual setting bitstream on etc. Any help appreciated Steve

  13. Hi Iamtran I do have a 1 year old VPL-HW40ES which I am putting up for sale but I live in Sydney so probably no good to you Steve
  14. The Yamaha definitely better quality but the main reason for the upgrade is that I listen to Pandora quite a lot which Yamaha A3030 has but Denon does not. I asked Denon why they don't support Pandora and the response I got was that they don't support Pandora due to legal issues?
  15. Item: Denon 4311 Home Theater Receiver Location: North Sydney or Central coast Reason for Sale: Upgraded to Yamaha RX-A3030 Price: $1,150 O.N.O. 16. Yea but not as good as VAF Signature i66's, I have a pair of Paradigm monitor floor standing speakers but relagated to the bedroom as not too impressed with them. Was tempted with a pair of secondhand Whatmough's P33 Signatures at Pymbol HiFi but in the end put a new order in for for some VAF Signature i66s, I have had some before and I know what they can do. Incidentally I have a cheap Yamaha V473 and I downloaded the US 1.6 firmware as opposed to the Australian 1.4 and it worked fine. Wonder if the Yamaha US firmware would work on your A3020?? Steve
  17. Very interested, please send me your contact details - steve@chillout-steve.com
  18. One thing you need to check is the type of hard disk in the DGTEC. I suspect that it will be a ATA IDE drive (long ribbon connector) whereas the cheap 1TB drives I have seen are all SATA drives. Steve
  19. I had an old Pioneer EH50 DVD recorder which had SCART RGB in and it bit the dust. I have tried and tried to get a replacement with rgb/component in without success. It would seem that since the advent of HDMI rgb/component in was dropped on all Australian DVD recorders. The only DVD recorders with rgb/component in were refurbished old models advertised on ebay claming rgb via scart. I have bought 2 of them now, one didn't even have a scart and the other did but the scart was disabled (the sellers obvioulsy copied the specifications from ebay UK). It would seem that only Europian models have rgb/component via scart and I would have bought one but the TV system in Australia is not compatible. I havent given up though as I am determined to get one, the post from Mick saying that the Topfield 2400 has limited component in may be the answer Steve
