  1. I'm coming over again in the next month or two. Happy to shoot you a PM when I have dates organized if you'd like? Love calibrating the new QLED's by the way, massive range of controls to dial them in!
  2. It's true! It has a calming effect. Always wanted a t-shirt that said 'I see dead pixels' but think the reference may be getting a bit dated.
  3. Hi All, I'll be in NSW next week if you're interested in having either your TV or Projector Professionally calibrated.
  4. Hi Benje, hope you're well? I'll be in Adelaide for a week or so (late October) before heading off to NSW and possibly ACT.
  5. Thank you so much for the kind words! I take a great deal of pride and care in what I do, so to get a response like this truly makes my day!
  6. A slight change of plans... I will now be coming to Melbourne the week beginng 4/9/23 if anyone would like their TV or projector professionally calibrated.
  7. Hi All, I'll be travelling to Melbourne again week beginning 21/8/2023. If you're interested in having either your TV or Projector professionally calibrated, please feel free to PM me or contact me at my website www.claritycalibration.com.au
  8. Some shots of a C2 OLED I calibrated in Melbourne. This one has 3x 3D LUT Calibrations for SDR, HDR and Dolby Vision. LUT Calibration is the ONLY way to calibrate these televisions. It offers a far greater accuracy than a calibration with the TVs standard calibration controls. It does this by communicating directly with the televisions memory board, bypassing the standard calibration controls. The benefit of this is that it offers control of up nearly 5 thousand points of colour, as opposed to the six points available in the inbuilt user controls. Think of it as calibration on steriods! By using a LUT calibration I was also able to input the C2s exact light output. This enabled its Dynamic Tone Mapping to work more effectively for HDR. I was also able to measure and report the colour co-ordinates for Dolby Vision, thereby updating Dolby Vision's "golden reference" for this particular OLED. In case you're wondering, that's Media Lights D65 bias lighting that's behind the TV. This, in my opionion is the icing on the cake!
  9. Hi All! I'm planning another trip to Melbourne next week (Week beginning 19/6/2023) if you're interested in having your projector or TV professionally calibrated.
  10. Hi all, flying to Sydney tomorrow (5/6) and due to a scheduling change I now have a free spot mid/late morning. If you're interested in having your projector calibrated please feel free to contact me via PM or via my website. I'm a professionaly Certified ISF Calibrator and a PVA Certified Video Professional with 13+ years experience. I use both Klein K10A and JETI spectroradiometer, both of which are true reference grade instruments.
  11. Hi Trent, no I don't have before/ after photos of an N5 I'm afraid, although there are some before/after shots of other displays on my website. I assume you're based in Adelaide?
  12. Perhaps someone can suggest who does calibrations around the Sunshine coast - not sure if @Clarity Calibration services this area. Thanks Quark, yes I do service this area.
  13. I recently added this little bit of kit.... early days, but excellent results thus far!! The Harkwood Sync-One2. Incorporating both a light sensor and microphone, this nifty little device can accurately measure +/- av delay (lip sync) in milliseconds.

  15. It's been a busy few months between the HIFI Show, reviews and of course calibrations. Nonetheless, thought it was high time I shared some shots of a recent calibration. These are taken from an 85" Samsung Q900B which I recently calibrated. They are a very well behaved television when it comes to calibration, with excellent greyscale accuracy obtained with just the two point greyscale controls. Of course, using the 20-point greyscale controls meant that better than reference results were able to be achieved, particularly when it came to gamma. Post calibration images were beautiful and the client was very happy. Will be back in a couple of weeks to calibrate game modes for this client.
