  1. Now only $250 - you will be hard pressed to find a better headphone amp/preamp for this price!
  2. Item: Audio-gd SA-31 Pre-Amp / Headphone Amplifier plus Remote Control Location: Cornubia 4130 Price: $250 Item Condition: Excellent (used in a smoke and pet-free house) Reason for selling: Need the money for my son's birthday Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Bought this brand new from Addicted To Audio on 13/05/2013 and it hasn't skipped a beat. Has a nice neutral sound and more than enough power for all headphones which were major selling points for me. The remote also came with an additional circuit board as backup which was a nice touch so that will be included as well. The SA-31 was the model before the current SA-31 SE and the main difference is that the SE has a 20DB gain boost as opposed to 10DB for the SA-31. The SE version with remote currently retails at Audio-GD for almost $800 Australian, so I think asking for under 30% of that price for an item in excellent condition is more than fair! Pickup only, like many decent desktop headphone amps it is quite heavy and almost 15 inches long so I don't particularly want to post it. I can also deliver for petrol money. Pictures:
  3. Edit: This item has been sold, thank you for looking Item: $200 Flight Centre Gift Card. Location: Cornubia, 4130. Price: $150. Item Condition: Brand new - it's only plastic Reason for selling: Need the money for my son's birthday next Monday Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD (petrol money required), Direct Deposit and standard Post is fine too (if you want registered post obviously it will cost a little extra). Extra Info: The only snag is the card expires on the 29th of December, so you have just over one month to use it. It can be used for flights, accommodation, tours, car hire, and travel insurance, all information at . Cheers
  4. Thanks for the suggestion mate, although I already have a Gieseler Klein DAC which is very nice so I don't really need an Amp/DAC combo unless it happens to be superior to the Klein (which isn't likely considering my current price range).
  5. Item: Any. Price Range: $700 or less, cheaper is preferred provided it sounds good! Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: I currently have an Audio-GD SA-31 Headphone/Pre Amp which works great. However I have just gotten a pair of Sennheiser HD700s and I feel there may be other amps which pair better with them than the Audio-GD. I do not want to buy blind, so If you're happy for me to audition your amp I would like to bring the SA-31 over to compare it before purchase. Tube or solid-state doesn't matter, although I do like a nice deep, defined bass. Plus I connect the amp directly to my DAC which feeds onto a NAD integrated amplifier, so it will need preamp/output capabilities as well. Please let me know what you have and how much you want for it? I am happy to drive to anywhere in Brisbane or even the Gold Coast if required. Cheers
  6. This is no longer available, cheers. Item: Denon AH-D600 Headphones Location: Cornubia, 4130. Price: $200 Item Condition: Excellent condition - one owner, non-smoker. Reason for selling: No longer required Payment Method: Pickup - Cash preferred, will post if I absolutely have to. Extra Info: These are fantastic headphones in immaculate condition. Very similar in sound to the venerable Denon AH-D2000 cans, they have excellent bass, good mids, and a nice treble with no hint of sibilance whatsoever. They are very comfortable and extremely easy to drive. Feel free to audition prior to purchasing. Pictures:
  7. Sadly no luck here, will sell elsewhere. Cheers
  8. Hey I said I'm starting to SOUND like you, not look like you! Although the only difference is that I'm not near-sighted
  9. Lol, you're sounding more and more like me all the time. Or maybe I'm sounding like you
  10. Another generous gift from a champion bloke. Well done Bill, your blood should be bottled mate.
  11. I'll happily pick up if it's going to sound any better than my Pioneer VSX-920? Is it worth it sound gurus?
  12. Have not heard from Oman - these are still for sale
  13. No PM received, please resend. Cheers.
  14. Edit: These have been sold, thanks everyone for your interest. Item: Hifiman HE-400 Headphones with velour and pleather earpads Location: Cornubia 4130 Price: $295 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Surplus to my needs Payment Method: Cash, Bank Direct Deposit Extra Info: Have a pair of Hifiman HE-400 headphones in excellent condition with velour earpads up for sale. The velour earpads are a lot more comfortable and also increase the sound quality levels. I will also include the original pleather earpads as well. They were purchased on 03/01/12 from Headphonic, so are just out of warranty. The phones currently sell at Headphonic for $445 and the earpads for $25. They have always been kept in a clean, smoke-free environment, and they look and sound amazing. Pickup is from Cornubia (about five minutes east of the Hypderdome). Please note I would much prefer pickup, so the above sale price does not apply to post. However please feel free to bid plus postage anyway, and after a week or two if there is no local interest I will entertain thoughts of posting then. Can deliver for petrol money. Cheers
  15. When I first bought them I was running a Matrix M-Stage (amazing amp for the price). Then in April I got an Audio-GD SA-31 Pre/Headphone Amp which is also an excellent unit. They ran beautifully from both amps; to be honest they are easier to drive than my Beyerdynamic DT990s. I have read somebody loved their HE-400s even coming straight from their pc's onboard, but for such amazing headphones I wouldn't recommend that. I would say as long as you have an Asus Xonar Essence soundcard or better you'll be fine.
