  1. I tend to agree, if work didn't pay for my phone I would be making the switch to a samsung. If the old Airplay Express wasn't compatible with the new IOS I would have made the switch straight away.
  2. For the hell of it I updated my iPhone to IOS11 and my god it is slow. Anyway IOS 11 comes with Airplay 2 that is supposed to allow multiroom music with multiple airplay 2 devices. Given I have about 3 airport Express' and 2 airplay enabled devices in my house I was keen to see if Airplay 2 worked at all with the old Airport express and also if the new multiroom music function would work with it too. I only played with it for about 5 mins but needless to say that Yes airplay 2 works with the old airport express but the mutliroom function does not. I wasn't really expecting anything else but was more concerned that the old airplay 1 devices would become redundant.
  3. I would go the pana as it has more outputs, picture wise there isn't much in it, maybe slight edge on 4K discs to the pana. I think both are great players and you can't go wrong either way. Apologies for not doing a A/B comparison yet as if I'm going to do one I want everything to be duplicated exactly the same Eg same hdmi cable, same disc, same display etc or ppl on here will just tear apart my comparison apart. Main reason I haven't done a 3 way comparison with the oppo 205 as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Nope, and I might not bother as I am happy with the performance of each player (Pana UB900, Sony X800 and OPPO 205) in the 3 separate room setups as is. Plus at this stage I don't really have time nor do I have two copies of the same 4K disc unless someone in Perth is willing to loan one to me.
  5. Will you take $70 and I will arrange my own shipping.
  6. I will take the airport express and can arrange my own postage. Have sent you a message via gumtree too.
  7. Oppo Uhd 4K Player

Some discs are freezing in certain spots and I have to do a power cycle again. I have emailed oppo yesterday and awaiting a response, I have cleaned the disc per suggestions on AVS forum but it didn't make a difference.
  8. Oppo Uhd 4K Player

Sure did though I have slight buyers remorse, I sold the 105 for abit under half what I paid for the 205. If you are asking me whether it is worth outlaying $2k in regards 2 channel XLR/RCA I would say no, but if you are paying Approx $1k to upgrade I would say yes but it is borderline.
  9. Oppo Uhd 4K Player

Pulled the trigger on the 205 last week hoping some of the video playback issues were sorted out but I am still having issues with some UHD discs namely Harry Potter and the Deathly hallows Pt1 and Furious 8. Stereo via XLR output to my preamp is an improvement over the 105 with both redbook CD and SACD, but not as much as I thought it would be given the reviews.
  10. There hasn't been much love for this product on these forums. I just picked up one for my Living room from Uncle Gerry for $388 and they gave me a free extended warranty for 4 years. So far I've had no issues and the PQ on my Sammy KS9000 looks pretty good. I haven't had the chance to compare it to my Panasonic UB900 or on any of my other setups in the house yet but will do so when I get the chance. The no optical out is really the only annoying function for me as I was hoping to use it in my bedroom setup with a pair of KEF LS50 wireless.
  11. Holy Crap. I didn't think the price gap between the 200XD and the LS50wireless was that much but after speaking to my dealer the best price I can get for the 200XD is 5999 where as the KEF LS50s i can get for $3400. Given these will be my bedroom setup I will probably go for the LS50s. Plus i have a B&W PV1d sub lying around currently that is not doing anything. Maybe adding that would get me close to the performance of the 200XD. Will be doing a demo next week of the LS50w so will share my thoughts.
  12. Being active speakers do you think the LS50 wireless would have protection on the amp circuit to prevent this?
  13. Player is now sold
  14. Item is now sold.
  15. I heard the 802D3s recently at a store in Perth but didn't think they were "better" than the 802D2s but just different. But they were hooked up to Mcintosh amps where as my 802D2s are hooked up to Classe CA M600s. Will be interested to hear your thoughts once the change is made. GLWTS, as many have said great price.
