  7. Ok, so i get 4 bookshelf speakers & wall-mount them (can't put them on stands on the ground for practical reasons)? And this will sound better than in-ceiling/on wall speakers? Any particular brand/line of speaker that might go well with my sonus faber cremona M's? Something like the KEF R100s? Or something from dynaudio? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Hello everyone, I'm slowly getting my home theatre setup & am needing some surround speakers. I plan on doing a 7.1 channel system. I currently have sonus faber cremona M floorstanders & an SVS PB12plus sub. So I need a centre speaker & 4 surround speakers. For the centre speaker: I have tried to get my hands on a matching SF cremona M centre, but have had no luck (put a couple of WTB ads on the forum with no success). Alternatively I'm thinking of getting a high-end in wall centre speaker. I could get this mounted behind a compatible projector screen, which has the advantage of being aesthetically pleasing, one less box in the way so more room for the projector screen, & mounted a bit higher which some say could integrate better. Looking at 3-way speaker with 6.5 inch woofer. For the surround speakers: Am thinking 2 bipole speakers for the rear surrounds (mounted on the walls) & 2 in ceiling speakers for the L & R surrounds. Would like to have all these surrounds from the same brand in the same line. So who makes really good surrounds, particularly inwall & inceiling? Triad seem to be a gold-standard, but hard to get my hands on them in Australia, with very untransparent pricing. I'd like them to be fully enclosed speakers to reduce sound leakage. ? Sonance ? PSB ? Speakercraft ? Truaudio ? Paradigm I've done some online research but it's a bit hard to sort the wheat from the chaff.......these speakers range from a few hundred bucks each to $6k each...! Thanks for your help & advice in advance. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Chord mojo is very dynamic & punchy if you like that kind of sound. Good detail too but I wouldn't call it delicate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Ok thanks for that info Tweaky. I do plan to get a calibration done by an expert. Any other thoughts from people about my questions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hello everyone, I am slowly sorting out my home theatre, and am looking at getting a PJ & screen. PJ will be for TV, foxtel & movie viewing. No gaming or computer usage with it. Viewing distance approx 5m. My budget is anywhere from $4 to 7k. I know this is quite a wide range, but I'm a bang for buck kind of guy in that I'm happy to spend more if I'm actually getting a better result for my intended purposes. Some questions: 1. Does spending more on a projector give better image quality for everyday TV & foxtel viewing, or is it more for bluray viewing where it excels? I ask this as I will be spending 2/3 of the time watching non-dvd/bluray material & am concerned that a $4k PJ will look the same as a $7k PJ for TV/Foxtel/Netflix content. 2. What should my budget be for a PJ screen, assuming I spend say $5k on a PJ? Looking at approx 110-120 inch..... 3. With the above in mind, can you please recommend some options for a PJ & screen please. I note JVC seem to get a lot of love here, and there is a new range just released..... Thank you!
