  1. Hello Andrew. It was probably a stupid thing to have said as I'm honestly not sure. What I meant is that I'm someone who seldom checks to see if there are updates on my gear. I'm sorry that I didn't look at the Chord website before posting the add. Regards, Greg.

Very much addicted to 80's music here. Looking at getting a turntable so been going through albums and singles that have been in storage. Also been looking for various sources to buy more albums. A great era for music.
  5. I'm not sure if this is of any help but I have the Technics sl-b21 purchased around 1983. I recently bought an Ortofon 3E cartridge which works okay. Got it going late this afternoon and been bitten by the vinyl bug.

  7. Exact Audio Copy seems very good, does flac and wav
  8. I forgot to mention that the coax is a 1 meter length. The speaker cables and jumpers were bought from a Melbourne retailer earlier this year while the coax was bought last year. I've gone for another brand of coax.

    Another Hobartian here. Welcome.
  11. Hi Jonesy. I've got the sl-b21 that I bought in 1983 which I had connected to a cheap jaycar phono stage. Obviously it's not in the same league as what's out their today but it served a purpose until a decade ago and is still going. Be interested to hear what you decide on.
  12. Hi Anthony. I'm probably going for the chord 2qute. It seems very good and it also suits me as I have limited space. Greg.
