PS...how's the turntable going?

this may be presumptious as we have only met the once (at the VAF get-together). I am the 50-year old, balding (sounds like most of SNA) with a soundwall.

Anyway, a mate has just acquired a new TV, and has got fired up about his records (I borrowed a Lloyd Cole album from him). Went to fire up the turntable, and it needs servicing. Nothing flash (a Thorens TD 105 mk II) in a simple 2-channel set-up. He is a music lover.

My friend Marcel lives at Stirling (near Glenside Lane Crafers) which I expect is near you. If you are interested in making a few dollars and servicing his turntable, please let me know.

If I am presumptious in sending this PM, please tell me politely, my apologies if so. My friend was looking for a commercial repairer, which I could suggest, but it will be a lot further away, and it may be just a 'simple' lube and/or belt. Too technical for me.
