If you like tribal and ethnic instrument influences, then give this one more than a cursory glance/listen:

Vataff Project - Maeoma. Limited edition CD here.

Ambient soundscapes intertwining the sounds of traditional Bulgarian instruments & voices with contemporary electronics. Haunting at times. Not to everyone's taste of course, but worth sharing anyway.  :)

Here's one to put on after a hard day - you'll melt into your chair.
Crafty downtempo trip-hop grooves, female vocals and damn catchy melodies - nice.
Potlatch - Terra Firma. Samples here.
Cosmicleaf stopped releasing on polycarbonate back in 2009 - so download only.

Yeah I like it, but it doesn't get played very often, I have other favourites that get played a lot more.

Got this one yesterday on the black stuff - bought it on a limb only listening to some of his previous work, its excellent

His album from last year is a great listen also: Space Is Only Noise
Wasn't sure what all the hype was about - until it arrived! It's brilliant.

Not strictly Modern Classical, but worth a mention anyway:

Akara - Extradimesional Ethnography

A fusion of live traditional and ethnic instruments, gentle vocals, programmed beats all with a classically arranged feel.

No one can intertwine intense wobbly bass, gypsy violin, crunchy beats and angelic female vocals like Govinda.
It costs nothing to listen to the samples (just your time!)
Govinda - Resonance
