SOLD: PMC GB1i

19 September 2012 - 09:46 PM

Item: PMC GB1i
Location: Sydney
Price: 2300 $2,000.00
Item Condition: 8/10
Reason for selling: Upgraded
Payment Method: Bank Transfer Preferred but cash is ok
Extra Info:Had these for a while now and they were my first real high quality speaker. Moving them on because i upgraded to OB1i's

There is a few very small marks (2) on the back on them but nothing serious, which are only visible if you are very close to them and looking at the back of the speaker. I can take close up's of needed, just pm me and i will get some organized.

You can read reviews on them here

These are a very good choice for apartment living and put out a sound that defies their apparent size, they really are a special little speaker,  Absolutely beautiful with acoustic material but their bass is nothing to be dismissed either.

if you listen to non stop dance music or heavy metal they may not be for you but if you like everything else then they just may be the ticket.

I could add paragraphs of descriptions about them but if you google for them, you will see what people say about them around the world and draw your own conclusions. They really do punch well above their weight in no uncertain terms.

Pick up from north sydney or shipped at the buyers expense using Pack and Send

I do not have the boxes or manuals for them which is why they are priced low, I also replaced both drivers a while ago (100 hours ago) because i blew one so to be safe i replaced both via PMC's support channel here in Australia who did all the work and testing for me.

Spikes included with them but the cables shown are not included in the sale.

Note: These are locally bought so there is around 19 years warranty left on them ( they come with 20 yrs cover now if bought locally from an authorised distributor).

The Great Power Rip off

16 August 2012 - 11:29 PM

Found this on SMH tonight and power prices along with the way they are reaming us is a pet peeve of mine...

http://www.smh.com.a...0816-24aeh.html

now we are all power consumers but what i don't understand is how we let it get so bad and let them get away with it so long.....and wtf are our elected officals doing about it ffs!

Sorry about the harsh acronyms but this is way out of control and smacks of the sort of corruption that Labour is famous for!

anyone got any thoughts on this they wish to share...?

NO LONGER AVAILABLE: EOI: PMC GB1i's

22 July 2012 - 09:36 PM

Item: PMC GB1i's
Location: Sydney
Price: $2700.00 ONO
Item Condition: 8/10
Reason for selling: Considering an upgrade
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, COD Only
Extra Info: I have had these for over 6 months now and really do love them but alas the time has come to move to something up the chain.

These are perfectly suited to smaller rooms and apartment living with a mid-range that has to be heard to be believed. These were ex demos but  will come with new drivers in both speakers. They do have one or two tiny chips and I do mean tiny on the back of them but these can not be seen easily and certainly not in normal operation,  are at the back of the speakers anyway and its nothing bad.  I did not even notice one of them until a month ago.

If you have a small room or live in an apartment and love acoustic music, i strongly recommend you check these out. These are in the Cherry finish and come with floor spikes.

You may also notice these (PMC's)  rarely come up for sale and there is a good reason for that and that reason is they are probably an end game speaker for a lot of people as once you go PMC, the only thing you may want for is the next model up the chain ( like me :D)

I do not have the original boxes for these so pickup is preferred or I can send them at the buyers expense using Pack and Send.

Note: this is an EOI at this point but I am pretty sure I am going to upgrade.

SOLD: FS - Audio GD NFB2 and OCOS Speaker Cables (3m)

17 July 2012 - 01:10 PM

Item: 1 x AUdio GD NFB2
Location: Sydney
Price: SOLD
Item Condition: Mint, one owner
Reason for selling: an SNA member loaned me his m51
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: I have loved this DAC since the day i got it, bang for buck it can not be beaten but I made the rather stupid mistake of accepting a loan of an M51 and there is no going back for me. I have the box, papers, cables etc.. all ready to go so save your self the wait of importing and get one for less on the spot. Demos are welcome if a respected SNA member will vouch for you.
Pictures:  We all know what these look like but if you really want pics i can get some.

Item: Dynaudio OCOS speaker Cables (3m)
Location: Sydney
Price: SOLD
Item Condition: 8/10
Reason for selling: Upgraded to Kimber Kable BI-Focal XL's
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: I got these a while back and they are a very good coax speaker cable solution but like all things audio i decided to invest more in this area once i got a taste of the good stuff. These are very transparent and what you put in is what you get out. These are also terminated with the propitiatory OCOS connectors on both ends with bare wires to go into you speaker terminals but you could fit spades or something if you really wanted to. I actually listed these recently but pulled them from the sale because i wanted to keep them but the cost of my DAC upgrade is forcing my hand.
Pictures: I will post some tonight.
