Hmm, that's a bummer mate. Perhaps internal tonearm cabling issue?

I paid about 110 euro for The GZA - Liquid Swords original US pressing completely unopened. I think I paid on top of that about $50 or $60 for shipping as I wanted it as fast as possible to minimize damage. It was one that I really wanted, and yes, there is nothing better than the feeling of opening something ~20 years old and dropping the needle onto it, amazing.

Currently have a Technics SL-3300 with a 2M Blue Cartridge, Running through a NAD 375BEE

The entry level GSP will be very suitable mate. My first setup with 540p source was a P3-24 and 2M Red, the improvements with the GSP Communicator over the 540p were HUGE even for the the lower line 2m cart. I wouldn't waste your time spending $150 on a phono tbh mate. The $300 will go far. I have my communicator for a very long time after I upgraded from the red to the 2M black, and I was STILL impressed. I know use a higher end model, and it just keeps getting better. I really can only say good things about Graham Slee's gear, I'd buy a HPA off them if they had a bit more grunt :D

I had the 540p for about 3 months when I first bought my vinyl setup. I eventually moved to the this little number http://www.decibelhi...2-communicator/ . If you can stretch your budget that far, I'd highly recommend it. It may be double in price, but the value and quality gained was very very well worth it IMO.

EDIT: I just realised you said 551p not 540p, sorry about that, in that case I haven't heard the 551p.
