Extra Info: I am offering a pair of Lowther designed 'Accolade 4' enclosures for free. There are no drivers, just the enclosures.
I have had these for years. A friend had pulled the drivers, and was going to chuck the cabinets out. I could see that they had obviously been professionally made, and it seemed a shame to have them go to landfill. I have essentially done nothing with them all this time, and I am trying to reduce my stockpile of stuff.
The design is a pretty unusual back loaded horn utilising a total of 4 drivers. The drivers intended for this cabinet are:-
(2 Drive Units of each type per enclosure)
-PM6C and C45
-DX2 and DX45
-DX3 and DX55
-DX4 and DX65
I suppose any drivers with compatible Thiele/Small parameters would also be suitable.
The cabinets are in good condition, though there are a few scratches on the veneer and it's a bit dry; some teak oil would work wonders. Like I said, they have been professionally built, with T-nuts on all original mounting holes. There are numerous extra screw holes on the front baffle that may need to be filled in as a result of my 'experiments'.
I am not interested in packing or shipping these, so they are pickup only. Pickup is from 2229 Lilli Pilli in Sydney's south (not the Bateman's Bay Lilli Pilli!).
