I live in the inner city suburb of Fitzroy in Melbourne.
I have had HIFI as a hobby for about 20 years and I post actively here on SNA.
I pursue sound quality SQ above all things. I don't care what color a component is,what it  looks like or how bulky or ugly it is. If it offers a SQ improvement I will give it a go-assuming I can afford it.

I've never sold anything via our classifieds, I'm a hoarder. I move components down a system to the family room or the bed room system, or gift it to family.

I retain my 18 year old geek for down load and tweak duties.

My SYSTEMS are all works in progress. My main listening room in a small Victorian terrace.
I have been into valves for years SET is a favorite genre, I have one of the first Time Machine 300Bs Earle Weston ever made. Very early in his career he used to test his amps at my place because I had better speakers.

I run 2 systems in my listening room. System A is active via a miniDSP with dynamic speakers the head unit is a Zaph zd5 with a single  10" MT3 SGR bass driver run through an Aspen (Hugh Dean) gk-1 pre amp that has been heavily modded by  andyr a knowledgeable member here. The amps are 2 x Amber SS 250 power amplifiers at  140w into 8'ohm SS. Components include a TT -Logic dm101 with a redwood maxi mm phono stage. A tuner currently a Sansui 417. Finally  MHZS CD33E cd player.

System B Tannoy dual concentric Turnberry's 8" drivers, an Amber 17 ss preamplifier, Cary 300B mono block amplifiers push pull, graham Slee genero mm phono stage with  elevator step up transformer. TT is a Strathclyde. Cary sacd player and a Hitachi 5500 mark II am fm tuner.
