I think some of the australian-pressed earlier records were ok, but after Help! you may be better off looking for overseas pressings. I ended up getting a german white album and a Netherlands abbey road, and they both sound great, as do my early beatles aus pressings (my aus revolver and abbey road don't sound great to me - surface noise, etc).
The reason I ask this is because I feel there could be more detail/separation to be had out of my system, and want to make sure it's setup correctly prior to spending $400 I don't have on a phono stage
Interesting, so it seems tracking performance is determined by the tonearm, how it is matched to the cartridge weight, tracking weight and antiskate? Is this perhaps the most important aspect of getting the most detail out of your tt?
