So Google bought Nik Software and now are offering the full Nik collection (HDR Efex, Silver Efex, Color Efex, etc) for $149 (less if you can find a 15% discount code).
I have Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4 so I'm not sure if these plugins are useful to me (apart from the HDR). I mean they could be but I just don't know enough about 'em. I know that I can download some B+W effects for LR, for example, so it may be that Silver Efex is not required.
I'm not tempted yet, but I could be with further persuading ...
I am cleaning out my old library of Books - everything from hard SF to Fantasy to Non Fiction. You will be getting a bargain here. Most books are in extremely good condition. I have no idea how many there are - but there are Heaps!!!
The same goes for my CD collection as well. I am digitizing my Library, and this is the first Bulk lot to go - everything from obscure Metal, to Jazz to Classical. There is even a box of collectible Iron Maiden LPs containing Picture Discs and singles and albums and lord knows what else!!
I'm not really interested in the books, just the CDs and LPs, but I put in a very low bid and won, much to my astonishment.
But what I didn't notice is that this "stuff" is pick-up only and located in Baulkham Hills, Sydney, whereas I am in Brisbane.
Is there a kind-hearted and generous SNAer in the area who would be willing to collect this stuff from the seller, and forward it to me? I'll pay for postage costs, and I'm sure we can make an agreeable arrangement to compensate for your time.
Here's the list for the Triple J Hottest 100 for 2012.
I don't listen to JJJ anymore so I don't recognize more than half the stuff on this list, including the #1 (which on first listen is a load of tosh whose popularity must be due to the 'this is f**n awesome' line; a bit of profanity attracts the young 'uns to mediocre music like flies to a sh*t, it's totes adorbs).
As Grampa Simpson would say: I used to be with it, then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm with isn't 'it', and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me.
