I have the dire straits love over gold reissue got it a few months ago and all I can say it is fantastic

I played my '82 Aust Vertigo copy ( with the spaceship on the label ) before going to work today. A great album which, as you say, sounds incredible. The bass is outstanding. Only spoilt by Industrial Disease, which is so out of place on the album IMO.

There's another Rodriguez thread floating around on SNA I believe.

I actually haven't seen the Searching For Sugar Man documentary yet, but did see him in concert in late March. Will buy it soon and watch.

I've been a fan since the seventies too, and Cold Fact is a desert island disc for me.

In Topic: Las 10 madres de guitarristas de todos

A few more, that didn't make my top ten. Some have already been mentioned.

Mississippi John Hurt - Maybe not a technically brilliant acoustic guitarist, he had a wonderful fingerpickin' style, that although it sounds simple, hard to emulate.

Marc Ribot

Lightnin' Hopkins

Robert Cray

Dave Hole

Joe Bonamassa

Peter Green

Albert Collins

Bonnie Raitt
