SOLD: FS: Audio GD Master 10 Integrated Amp

Recommended Posts

Item:  Audio GD Master 10 Integrated Amplifier
Location:  Bowen, Qld
Price: $1600 (including postage to eastern states, may have to charge a little more to Tassie or WA)
Item Condition:  Excellent, maybe 300 hours on the clock.
Reason for selling:  I have to sell something and nothing else is moving.
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD, direct deposit,
Extra Info:  Bought from Addicted to Audio in early July 2014.  I can't find the receipt (which is very annoying as I generally take care to keep them) but I can supply copies of the order and delivery emails between myself and Addicted to Audio if requested.  I am confident the warranty is transferable (though I'm also confident it won't be needed, these Audio GD amps are built solid and strong) and can confirm if requested.

Oh man - you're killing me! So very, very tempted to upgrade my Precision 1 to this!

I need a second job to fund my SNA classifieds addiction, I think!

Good luck with the sale. No doubt I'll be following this thread closely...

Not a bad idea at all @@dolphy.

Hey Jason (@jbpstereo) do you use the reference 5.32 as a pre and the Precision one as a power amp or do you use the Precision one as an integrated?  I just ask because I'm curious, I was wanting to get my hands on an Audio GD pre (or DAC-pre) to try out the Master 10 as a power amp but I just don't have the spare cash, but since you have both components with Audio GD's ACSS capability I was just wondering if you'd tried using it.

(Yes, I know, conversation in a for sale thread is a bit of a no-no, but it is on a directly related topic)

Hiya Cafad!

I've been using the Precision 1 to control volume with the DAC connected via ACSS (and the computer source volume at 100%). I expect I'd use the Master 10 in the same way.

Dolphy/Cafad I'll PM you...

Currently involved in a 3-way Audio GD trade discussion.

Jason, be aware that the ACSS input on the Master 10 bypasses the volume control, it is a power amp input.  The Master 10 is an integrated amp on its other 4 inputs but it can be used as a power amp via the ACSS, so at a later stage an owner could upgrade to a pre/power system by buying a Master 1 (for instance) and using it as a pre and the Master 10 as a pure power amp.

That is a major difference to the Precision 1, so if you use the ACSS input you will have to adjust the volume via the DAC or your computer, the RCA and balanced inputs you could, of course, use as per usual.

Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that early on.

Edit:  Or I could be wrong?  The above is my prior understanding of the situation but going back to Audio GD's website I can't seem to find anything that supports that view.  I guess it's a good thing I didn't buy that Master 1 when I got the urge to.

If anyone out in SNA land could weigh in to put me out of my confusion I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for the heads-up, Cafad.

If the ACSS bypasses the volume control then I can deal with that by changing the source volume, no worries (or try out some nice interconnects). If not (that is if it works the same as the Precision 1's ACSS input) then all's sweet.

I think the acss input on m10 does not disable the volume control, the only amp i can see on agd site that has disabled vol with acss input is precision 2

That must be where I got the idea from, thanks for that.
