The Oppo BDP-95 Level 3+, which Bill Mclean is showing, is actually the radically enhanced JLTi-modified version using double SAW clocking (unique to JLTi) and many other major advances. This remarkable Australian-designed upgrade to the Oppo BDP-95 and BDP-105 universal digital players has been so successful, that it is now being syndicated by Custom Analog Audio to a select handful of electronics modifiers in Europe, Asia, Africa, New Zealand and the USA.

I have the JLTi-enhanced BDP-95 and I can honestly say that it is one of the best sounding CD/SACD players I have ever heard at any price. You owe it to yourself to come and have a listen.

Cheers

Warren.

  • 3 weeks later...

We were honoured by Kim Ryrie's presence yesterday to give us some short info of what DEQX can do. Hopefully Ed or others will have some photos to put up later on.

It was a great presentation by Bill, the Maggies was playing quite well in the room, good transparency and midrange, as i supposed it was the entry level from Magnepan, there was some compromises in Bass though (but could be the room, although DEQX was employed to address this, but given its limited time and unfamiliarity with the room, i can say that its prob not well optimised)

Indeed a great meeting, Henry, with Kim Ryrie providing his customary words of digital wisdom, Alan Langford's expert set-up (despite the bad room and limited time) and, of course, Bill who is one of the great gentlemen of the industry.

Good sound, even better music and a terrific turn-out of members (including three new members!).
