Hi to all, just wondering any SNA's member owning Cymer Audio Southern Star SE-35 by Elson? Have read the review by 6moons but still unable to make up my mind buying this valve mono blocks. Could someone please share your experience with Cymer Audio Southern Star SE-35 by Elson. Thanks.

I reviewed the Cymer amps for 6moons and have owned them since. Love them as much if not more; they are extraordinary amps that combine the rare qualities of finesse, tonality and punch all in one. I started a thread with some pix here:

For what Elson charges for these amps, it is a no brainier if you have speakers that can work with 30 watts.

If you've listened to them and can afford them buy them without delay.

Perfection in 35 watts. Just buy them, today.

I agree.

Elsons stuff is awesome.

He is a true gentleman and has been around long enough to know what works and what doesnt.

Ive seen him a few times take apart some big dollar amps and critique the flaws of the designs and what he would do to make them more reliable and sound better (the big CAT monoblocksin particular).

You cant go wrong.

After reading the utter enthusiasm displayed by Edgar, if I could ever afford them I would grab a pair, very very nice.

So what is the ballpark spend?

Edit: apologies, it's in EK's review.

I heard EK's amps, they were truly outstanding. The bass is so tight and controlled for a valve amp, you will not be disappointed with a Cymer.
