Any comparisons of these 3, and compared to a Rega DAC? I will be selling my Rega, bit of an upgrade. All these 3 are approx the same price.

Used for Computer Audio (foobar/audirvana) via USB, into Woo Audio WA2 and then to Beyer T1s.

Leaning towards the audioGD as its black and matches my WA2 very nicely, but haven't heard any of these DACs.

Cheers.

Clearaudio Emotion Turntable, Emotive XSP-1 and XPA-1s. 7.1 Paradigm Studio HT.

I heard M2Tech Young and can compare to the sound of M51 in my set up. Do not know about Rega or AudioGD...
M51 gives you way more realistic (or live or warm) sound then M2Tech Young. But M2Tech Young revealed many details what were covered by the other DACs. May be M2Tech was actually exaggerating them which should not be revealed at all... I am comparing SPDIF input only. USB was not sounding good with M2Tech Young: dark and obvious lack of detail... M51 is way better for USB as well in my opinion...
And of course the amount of bass is way more pronounced with M51 then with M2Tech Young...
I personally think that M2Tech Young is overpriced too much and should be below 1k mark. Small box with external PS. No remote and etc.

This isn't a direct answer to your question but I have compared the M51 to the Audio Gd Ref 7.1 in my system and found the Ref 7.1 clearly more tonally correct, realistic and musically coherent, and (for better or worse) a little warmer. This was fed via spdif from a john keny mk3 hiface. The Ref 7.1 is about $600 more expensive though. And the M51 sounded more detailed and articulate in the highs. Still, I had no reservations about preferring the Audio GD.

Cheers,
Andreas

Yes both units were fed by the JK Mk3. The only difference was that, because the M51 doesn't have a BNC input, I used a BNC/RCA adapter on the digital cable (black cat silverstar 75, and it was the adapter supplied by black cat).
