Gotta admit, If I had a sme 3009 without the box I would buy it if I had a suspicion I would sell it one day in the future.

I would never buy a used tonearms that did not have the factory box. Too easily damaged without the box.

Don't know TT, $50 just for the box still seems steep to me.

I made a box out of the foam from an appliance box and a new post office box that successfully sent my tone arm to England for some upgrades, and back without damage.

The instructions the upgrader sent were complete. (Thanks Audio Origami.)
