I've added some brief information to StereoNET Australia's History (Edit - History page currently down due to database issue) page, and am also pleased to announce our honorary membership awarded by the Australian HiFi Association recently.
A remarkable acknowledgement that I am truly proud of. This is a direct results of many years of work from me, along with the support and dedication of our Moderators, and of course the members who make the site what it is. Thanks to all who are proud to be members of StereoNET Australia and understand what is involved to continue providing this service, and resource.

Congratulations Marc on your honorary recognition from the Australian Hi Fi Association!

It must be satisfying after all the hard work that you and your team have put in over many years to be acknowledged by fellow leaders in the industry.

Stereonet members should feel proud and honoured to utilise the valuable resources that these boards facilitate. Having heard many stories from some in the industry bemoaning how difficult things have been since the GFC, I don’t know why more stores/brands don’t advertise and explain their wares on this site. On occasions I certainly have mentioned this website to traders. I don’t know what it costs traders to advertise in the Green Guide (Melb. Age) by comparison.

Stereonet would have to be the number one in Oz of its type wouldn’t it Marc?
Maybe Stereonet could advertise in the GG or Australian Hi Fi Magazine. Alternatively, the story of Stereonet and what it is would make a great article/interview piece.

P.S. The new website look and feel is fantastic.

Excellent news , a hearty whoa ha to all involved , reminds me of a Jewish proverb : If charity cost nothing , the world would be full of philanthropists.

WD Marc and also to past members and Mods like Keith who's no longer here. I reckon they all add up to making the site what it is today and of course any site is just a reflection of mainly the membership and also the direction the site owner[s] point it in.

Congrats

Well deserved I think. The promotion not just of HiFi, but of knowledge about music reproduction, and music itself, that comes out of this site is truly valuable.

As for the industry, who here can claim they have not bought anything as a result of being on this forum. I certainly can't, just about all the components I have bought in the last 5 years have been influenced by advice from this forum and the places I have bought from I only know about because of this forum.

A well earned accolade for a very good forum.
