Rob here, I've just joined to hopefully pick up some good info on all things audio.
My set up...
All music is stored on a computer as FLAC.
Output to the main system is via Sonos to an Integra DTR 70.2 amp and Krix Neuphonix speakers.
For my computer I have an Auzentech X-fi Prelude sound card then pre-out to an Integra DTR 8.8 amp and then on to some Adam A5x speakers.
Both sound pretty good to my aging ears.
I've just ordered a NAD M51 DAC.
Cheers

That looks like a pretty neat set up you have there already.
No doubt others will have ideas about how to blow your dough!

Come to think of it that applies to most things with a forum.

As you are a self-confessed apprentice (in spite of your very nice gear). we may need to send you off to buy some sky hooks shortly.

Welcome to SNA Rob and I hope you enjoy your stay here.
While you're looking for Wally's sky hooks, you might bring back some left handed screw drivers, some post holes and a piecost as well!
Cheers,
Keith

Well with audio, there is always someone who has something that's better, and was cheaper.
Come to think of it that applies to most things with a forum.
It's all about how you hear it, Rob.
No one else can use your ears!
