Hi mate, they are two totally different albums with the Shelby Lynne album on AP a big improvement over the Lost Highway version IMHO and I like her treatment of the Dusty songs even more than the originals now. Elvis "24 Karat Hits" is a 3LP 180g set with a mix of mono and stereo recording circa the '50s to the mid '60s and AP have done a sensational job of remastering from the original master tapes and I've never heard these songs sound so good.

Cheers,

Keith

Copy that!

It's all subjective DH, but it still sounds pretty good to me on vinyl and I do have it digitally as well, but much prefer the vinyl..............better control of the bass on vinyl. Vinyl and CD are the only formats I've heard it and I've never heard a DCC recording anyway, but I did do my best back in the '70s and '80s with tape and some of it still sounds pretty good today.

The DCC is also an LP pressing. But it's selling for insane prices now. Some say the AP version sounds better for stereo :)

Sorted it out Keith.
With Firefox I am still having the same trouble. 4 items in cart appears to be locked in for some reason.
Went through Safari and all worked fine. Might get my Technogeek other half to check it out at some time.

Just got my second shipment from Keith. Again perfectly packaged and everything arrived safely, including 3 box sets and a number of albums. I have used Acoustic Sounds in the states for a number of purchases in the past. I was just about to pull the trigger with them again and thought why not contact our sponsor and see if he could supply the same albums. Not only did Keith supply everything I was after but at very reasonable prices. Not only did I save money using Keith but received my items much faster than I usually do from Acoustic Sounds.

So if you are thinking of getting something from overseas, I'd recommend contacting Keith first. He may not have them on his web site, but he will more than likely source them for you and at a good price.

Hello folks, I'll be placing orders in the middle of this coming week with distributors in Europe and North America, so if there is any new vinyl you're after in particular and we don't currently have it in store, now would be a good time to let me know and for you to pick up your new vinyl at a great price. We should have everything being ordered this week, shipped and delivered by the middle of the following week. Send me or Dale a PM here or email Dale at dale@vinyleye.com.au and we'll give you availability and pricing straight away.

Cheers,

Keith

All the albums sound great. Pick of the bunch is Norah Jones - Come away with me, excellent recording.
The only down side was ....Little broken hearts, had a bit of a rough journey at some stage. Both records a bit warped (still playable), but a run through the Vinyl Flat and all is good.

But the big bonus of the day was i sat down and did my tax, and will be getting a return this year :D :hiccup

Looks like i'll have to sit down and do myself up a shopping list, and will be in touch when i get my return.

Cheers

Very clean detailed and revealing. The bass is how it should be, tight deep and clean. I know a lot of the songs so well that i am finding it quite amazing to find little things I have not noticed before with the recordings in 50 years of listening. eg. You can hear the difference in his voice in one song when he, I think, takes a step back from the mic. never heard it or noticed it before.
Haven't had a real close listen to the whole 2 albums yet but a stand-out that I have noticed - and I did a comparison with an original pressing, is the back-up singers are more noticeable - up front of the left speaker and as loud as Roy in the centre.. I'm not sure if I like it like that as I'm so use to not hearing everything as clear on the old albums and old TT's. Happy? you betcha.
Like I said I have been a fan since his beginnings and his music is very close to my whole family. I made a cassette tape up of his hits for my dying Father to listen to -not sure if he could hear it, but it was his favourite artist And In Dreams was the song we chose to played at his funeral.
Yes! The Big O is hard to beat and this new pressing is the best there is that I've heard, ever..

I can confirm that Keith can source albums on your want list.
In no time at all he filled 8 of the 7 I requested!
One of those sourced was quite limited and made my week!!

Hi vinyl lovers, just a note to let you know that we have plenty of new arrivals in the store, so check it out if you haven't been in for a look in a while.

Also, we've just put up some special discounted albums from the likes of Keane, Billy Joel, Rickie Lee Jones, Johnny Cash, Dr John, TV on the Radio, The Prodigy and Robert Plant/Alison Krauss with a few more to be added soon. Use your StereoNET discount code and get an even better deal. :thumb:

Cheers,

Keith
