Just wondering what is around in peoples vinyl collections. I have number of them. Heres a few to get started. One I think maybe of particular interest to Mr Surfpurple. :cool:

Analogue setup: 1986 Townshend Rock Mk2/AO rewired RB250/Soundsmith retipped VdH DDT-II special, Marshall Leech head amp, Copland CSA-14, Castle Howards.
PC System: i7 win8, T Amp, Monitor Audio Monitor One.
Digital System: Squeezebox Touch, DVD P181 as transport for CD, Audio gd NFB2.

 

Plus 4 additional TTs

 

No Sub-woofers were used in the reproduction of this sound

Here's a couple more. Seven Moons is really only a coloured disc. Guess they were trying to represent a moonscape. No mention of it on the cover.

No picture discs, but I did see L7 at the Bridgeway 'back in the day'. Manufactured bad-girl band they are not, the girls were hard.

mmm i had a picture disc i thought...12" single of "a kind of magic" by queen but i cant seem to locate it. Someone must have swiped it. It had Kurgan on one side and Freddie in his magicians costume on the other

Where did you get this one?!
I'm surprised they even brought it out in LP format esp for a movie done in the early noughties.

I don't have too many picture discs but the one's I do have go through regular rotation on my picture disc 'frame'. It's a cheap and nasty turntable I mounted on a wall. Records are held in place with the 45 adapter.

This one is techno track called 'The Wolf, by Dave Clark.

I bought it from my local record shop in Adelaide. There were a few different LP pressings. The original black vinyl goes for a fortune on Discogs

While you're on picture disc, there was someone on here a few years back who posted a link to a site where he bought some display hangers. I've never been able to find it since.

I have a couple with interviews on them.I have read they are not the best sound wise compared with black vinyl.As record art they do look great.
