I've recently spoken with a few of StereoNET's advertisers / supporters about the opportunity to host exclusive SNA days or nights, to demonstrate their products, tell us some information and for those that retail, to offer some exclusive prices on the day to members.

A number were keen, so now in order to take it to the next level I am seeking expressions of interest from you guys to see if you would be interested in this. In some cases, there may be a small door charge (say $5 or $10 per person) as not all have suitable facilities for hosting such an event, and their may be venue hire charges, and of course likely finger food and drinks provided. I don't foresee this being an issue for anyone?

I can obviously volunteer myself to look after Victorian events and coordinate with members and the host. It would be great if some members could step up and volunteer to be a "representative" of sorts and assist coordinating in other states where necessary also.

So, would you be interested in days / nights like this? Would a small surcharge bother you? Would you be going to potentially buy products, or just for the information and social opportunities? Days / Nights suit you better?
Any feedback welcomed, encouraged and appreciated so that we can kick this off and make it successful!

Cheers :)

Great idea. Surcharge is no problem at all. Night would better suit I suppose.

On being a potential buyer, may be not. Mostly just for ust for the information and social opportunities, to be honest.

Again, a great idea and would love to participate.

I am pretty much on the same page as this. Unlikely to buy on the night unless I was already very interested, but would be better informed the next time the upgrade/change bug bit - would appreciate the opportunity

Sounds too easy guys with so much support.
I will refer those I have spoken with to this thread so they can see the response, and hopefully organise the first official VIC SNA gathering shortly.
We can then look to other states too.

Thanks again, it is encouraging to see this much motivation.

would definitely be on the radar for me. Doubt if I'd purchase on the night but who knows... certainly would be useful for making contacts for upgrade considerations. The social side is always welcome. Surcharge is okay if kept to $5-10. Would be willing to help to make it happen in SA. Would be good to see a t-t event and a seperate digital event
