It can be both, doesn't have to be seriously listening. I will have my system on but I drift in and out of concentration wrt to listening.

I think you need another tab to check in the poll.................I checked more than 10 hours but I would easily listen more than 20 hours a week. My gear is on standby, but turn it on to listen. Cheers, Keith

If I'm home, the stereo is on.
It only gets switched off when the other half wants to watch one of her terrible TV shows. Which is too bloody often!!

Which is why I have the TV set up in a completely separate room - I refuse to have my 2-ch system form part of the home theatre

Bugger all 1-2 hours a week if I want to keep the neighbors on side. 3 -4 hours if a SNA member drops in.

That's about the same for me too.
Always good when a SNA member drops in! (doubles the weekly listening hours).

Going to war over religion is like killing someone because your imaginary friend is better than theirs.
It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
A cynic is one who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.
I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let's start with keyboards
