A friend asked if the sorbothane needs to be replaced? His current rack also uses this material and he said it needs to be replaced like a wear and tear item.

Looks great actually and I like the modular/flat packed system

Kudos!

nice review and congrats SGR.

If you want a 3 shelf rack, does that mean 3 x $750 or are there additional costs?

Shane, i can answer that mate

it is $750 per shelf no matter what spacing you want
there are however some extras you can add if you wish at extra cost

extra dampers
ball race leveller upgrade
shelf upgrades

Well done Harry, Stuart and Anne. Considering the cost of some of the brands Edgar compared your racks too, fine praise indeed.

Yes - superb to see such a terrific audio engineering company in our own backyard. The ability to branch into racks so effectively is testament to the complete understanding SGR has of how to produce great sound.

Even though the SGR products are above my budget, I find it reassuring and gratifying that there are still companies in Australia who design and produce world class products. Obviously SGR fit into this category.

I recently heard an SNAers system and the first thing I noticed was the SGR rack above all else.

The Shindo gear took second fiddle unfortunately...

G'day,

Kudos, etc.

Are there reviews of other SGR products, e.g. the speakers and amps?

It works well, better than a spiked heavy side table I was using before. ;) Better micro detail and less fuzzy. I can rest the cartridge on the record, turn up to listening volume, rapped the rack pillar with my knuckle and there is no thump coming through the speakers.

Congratulation Stuart and Harry on both the 6 Moons article and a superb product. I was fortunate to hear/see the Signature Rack in action not long ago with the stunning Brinkmann Oasis turntable atop...............a terrific combination and I wish I could afford both, but alas I can't at this time.
