Item: Ayre MX-R monoblocks, silver

Location: Sydney

Price: $14,500

Item Condition: Mint

Reason for selling: Downsizing, too powerful for room

Payment Method: Pickup – Cash or Paypal

Extra Info: Am seriously contemplating selling my beloved Ayre MX-R mono amps, which I have owned since new (May 2009; bought in UK). They are in immaculate condition with the boxes, covers and gloves(!) that came with them. Each MX-R pumps out a solid 300w into 8Ω, and double that into 4Ω. They are overkill, as well as too powerful, for the smaller accommodation I find myself in, and I am also having to sell off my Martin Logan speakers for the same reason.

There are numerous reviews for the MX-Rs available on the internet, so I won’t repeat them here, other than to state that these are among a handful of world class amps.

At this stage, I am looking for expressions of interest only, and have not 100% decided to sell the amps. Because of the value, I would much prefer local pickup as they weigh 25kg each, but would reluctantly consider shipping if buyer pays shipping and insurance costs.

Oh, my!

Being an owner of these babies, all I can say is best of luck with the sale Thingy, these amps are absolutely wonderful!

They even converted some staunch tube amp owners into solid state!
