It will not not let me delete the photo of the silver thing from the post. I run safari on a macbook pro.

Read up regarding images. Please guys .... check if something has been acknowledged first. It just slows me down and clutters the bug thread.

Thanks Marc for all your efforts. The new format looks great and like the 'Reply to this topic". Very easy to use.

ok no worries, I didnt realise this was to do with new images ? as had only just added them in now. thought only to do with old images linking back. but understand now.

ps another strange one. I get an email notifying me of a new reply to a "conversation" I go looking in my pms and the new reply is no where to be seen ? in my email I received the reply is there and can read it ??

Are you referring to the images not displaying properly? Ie.
If so, please read back. We are addressing this. Building caches can take hours - up to 24 and beyond.

I imagine those refer to images. When your talk of caches taking up to 24 and beyond to build is that on your server or on my system ? I guess you mean yours.

Don't worry..............I found that forums button down there and it does pretty much the same thing..............a new content button would be good down there though!

Hi Marc,

I am curious as to why those areas of the old site which were private (viewable by signed in members only) can now be accessed by anyone browsing the site.

For example, it might be of concern that anyone browsing the site can see items that are being sold in the classifieds, and can then check the members profile to posssibly find out their name, and what suburb they live in. Same thing with The Showcase.

Is this an intentional change?

Thanks,
Shane

Yep, I found the same thing. Disregard my earlier comment. The only difference is that I have to hit the "new content" button again to see my unread posts. That's no problem.

This was discussed previously. It can now not be seen by guests.
I don't see a lot of difference however given that anyone can then register to see ...

The random thumbnail image turning up in peoples threads is a very strange one, and perhaps beyond our coding wizardry ... might have to refer this one to Invision for their thoughts. Sorry guys, but that process may take some days to resolve that particular issue.

Well nearly 24 hours down and the bugs are few thankfully. A few more days ironing out any kinks and I think the transition has been successful.
Thanks to all for being patient ... I know it can be frustrating when somewhere you visit and rely on daily 'changes' or worse, is down.

Invision will allow us much more scalability to grow, and a much more professional interface cleans up the experience.

Thanks again ... I'll keep this up to date with ongoing bugs, fixes and anything else related to the topic.

Under my avatar I'm seeing a blank box underneath the title "Warn Status". This is new, I think.

By default, in all forums except for the Classifieds forum, it's sorted by latest reply.
Classifieds sorts by Topic Start Date.

Hey Marc

Sorting classifieds by start date (and effectively nullifying bumps) - is this a new feature or a bug?

Sorry Marc, yes it is indeed. But it WAS the other way around (as in posts were shown in descending order). Especially in the larger topics a bit of a nuisance to have to either scroll to newest post (or click on first 'unread' post).

Personally I really prefer to see the newest post straight on top if possible? (seems to be NO option for that though?)

Is this a bug perthpete or a problem with your own settings? It's not clear to me.
It is working as intended presently. There are some personal options you can set in your own settings however.

Definitely not a bug, and perhaps not what I would call a feature.
It's the result of many things, but a natural progression for a busy classifieds section.
It will remain sorted by Topic Start date from now on.

Marc, when you awake from your well-earned slumber, I have a minor issue you may want to check.
When viewing a post with thumbnail pics such as post 35 in this thread, I am unable to view the next pic without closing the previous. i.e. there is no 'next' button.
This is with Chrome on Windows 7 and also Safari on the iPad.

BTW, love the improved speed :welcome:
