The Spice Trail

Pepper and Cinnamon - Kate Humble retraces the steps of 15th-century explorers as she sets out on a spice trail that takes her to India and Sri Lanka, the birthplaces of pepper and cinnamon. Kate begins her travels on India's 'spice coast', where she meets farmers fighting back against a disease that is devastating pepper crops. From India, Kate heads south to Sri Lanka, where she takes part in the delicate process of harvesting the cinnamon and also witnesses the crucial make-or-break negotiations of local farmers trying to sell their crops. A bit of latte philosophy creeps in however well worth while nonetheless.

just finished watching. loved it. quite amazing the history and what goes in to production. looking forward to part 2 and 3

No, haven't seen it but it sounds like my cup of tea. I suspect that it would be chai philosophy rather than latte. Try getting a good espresso in India or Sri Lanka!
