What do you mean by 'outdoor'?

I use normal speakers on my verandah so they're not in the rain at all.
Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

I utilise LogicprObe's approach too - an old pair of Realiatic T110s

Analogue setup: 1986 Townshend Rock Mk2/AO rewired RB250/Soundsmith retipped VdH DDT-II special, Marshall Leech head amp, Copland CSA-14, Castle Howards.
PC System: i7 win8, T Amp, Monitor Audio Monitor One.
Digital System: Squeezebox Touch, DVD P181 as transport for CD, Audio gd NFB2.

Plus 4 additional TTs

No Sub-woofers were used in the reproduction of this sound

Hi

try Boston Acoustics Voyager Range - I have a pair and quite like them. They are built in a wedge shape to increase bass response in corners.

Clef Hi fi have the range on their website.

Otherwise you can get them off ebay cheap thro Grabitsales

Cheers Chewie

I've had Yamaha outdoor speakers previously (met with a sorry end due to some deficiencies in my installation technique....) - I was very happy with them

I now have Cambridge Audio outdoor speakers. They have quite a good sound, but can be a bit too heavy on the bass sometimes. I dont get too hung up on it though, as it is only background listening for me.
Stereo: SB Touch (Bolder), Welborn psu, Bel Canto Dac3, Pre3, Ref1000 MKII's, Lenehan ML-1 Ultras, Rel 505 HT: Add Oppo BDP-95, iQ2, Onkyo 875, ML-1 centre, Yam In-Ceilings
Study: SB Transporter, Burson PI-160, ML-1 PlusR's, Leben CS-300XS, 47 Labs Lens Head: Add Violectric HPA V200, T1/K702/ATH-W5000/AH-D7000/DT770 600
Cables: Jungson Silver XLR, Audio Art Cable IC-3s, Black Cat Veloce digital IC, Lenehan Ribbontek SCs,Consonance/Zu/stock power cables, Consonance power filters

Yeah........I figure if the humidity eats the surrounds or they do happen to get wet I can just toss them and grab some more from the side of the road!
