Be warned Swearing in this clip
Snip

KEVIN Rudd's expletive laden outburst in the out takes of a taxpayer-funded video have emerged as an internet sensation after it was posted on YouTube under the title "Kevin Rudd is a happy little vegemite" As the Prime Minister's backers declare war on the Foreign Minister's fitness for office, the video has caused a sensation on the social networking site Twitter tonight.
The video, which is not dated, clearly shows an exasperated Mr Rudd swearing as he repeatedly fluffs his lines

So what? What does it matter?

"attenuate the self-generated reflections" - "to absorb and dissipate"...sounds like a mirror to me and why put one of those on top of a speaker?

FWIW, if anything, this clip makes me more pro KR. So he's frustrated by incompetence - I can relate to that.

I did not want to pre-empt or influence anyone's answers by voicing my opinion on the opening post
But I have done the same thing out of frustration
It just makes him normal but I know others will disagree sighting his position in government to have more restraint

What I will say is it depends on the circumstances
What if this outburst took place after 10 hours or after the 500th take ??

Not so unless your in KR's electorate that is, the Labor party caucus voted him in and out, you/we voted for our local federal member. In my case it was Anthony Albanese.

Remember that Young Ones episode. Rik says '...and that's about as disgusting as eating your own ear wax. Right kids?'

Seriously though, given the timing, you'd have to suspect this is a strategic leak.

Which just makes me think I'd like the ALP to decamp from Canberra, go to Central Australia somewhere - every one of them, from the lowliest shop steward to icons (Gough, Hawkey) - and just argue themselves horse until they actually agree on something they stand for. Then they can come back and actually run the country with a vague semblance of vision. On the way out there they could find a sewer to dump Craig Thomson in - his natural habitat.

The only problem is, while they're away, the Coalition would have to run things. They'd pass laws legalising corporate labour camps, privatise oxygen so public respiration would hence-forth be subject to a fee (payable by credit card, money order, direct blood donation) and up the medicare rebate so steeply that anyone earning over two hundred thou would automatically be entitled to a 'happy ending' massage from anyone, anywhere, any time, provided they were in a lower tax bracket. The master/serf feudalist model worked perfectly well for at least 8 centuries - as they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The ALP right royally f*#ked themselves in the foot when they knifed Rudd. He may have been a megalomaniac, egghead knob-end but when was the last time a first term incumbent lost an election in Australia? His real problem is that he wasn't factionally aligned.

His removal was p*%sweak student politics. And we'll all pay for it with another decade of Tory rule.

That's the downside for sure.
I was working last year at a school (the BER money) and even though the building was a public servant over designed expensive piece of bricks and steel that ran way over budget and took many months past proper completion date, the Principal of the school was happy with the building and the new groundwork's, he said to me: "In ten years of the Howard government all we received from Canberra was a new school flag and a flagpole and that was dependant on us singing the national anthem at assembly. We crammed our kids into 70 year old dilapidated classrooms with no air con, so I'm more than happy with these new ones."

That brought home one of the differences between the two parties but still makes it hard to vote for either one of them, 'poor fellow my country' indeed.

"attenuate the self-generated reflections" - "to absorb and dissipate"...sounds like a mirror to me and why put one of those on top of a speaker?

I find it VERY hard to believe that JG's office/staff did not leak this video. I think it will backfire though - and have the exact opposite effect. A politician showing some kind of fallible human/everyman quality will usually resonate well with voters.. not the other way around.

The Liberals really must be very happy right now.. they are being handed the next election's victory on a platter.

I wish KR would just take a back seat at the UN, and let JG get on with it.If Labor loses the next election so be it, then would be the time to for him to have another shot.It seems to me KR doesn't give a stuff about what's good for the Labor he just wants revenge and the top job. The only ones to gain anything out of this are the Liberal party. If JG does take it to a spill and KR wins, how much ammo will that give the Liberals.

I can hear it now TA banging on ad nauseam , 1st they had Rudd, then they sacked Rudd, then they had Gillard, now they have Rudd again. Spare us that at least Kevin and just pizz off to the UN until after the next election.

Nope, definitely released by the Gillard posse, planting the seed that it was released by the Rudd crew in order to make it appear that the Gillard homies did it.

ET, the issue with sending this lot into pristine wilderness is that there would need to be an Environmental Impact assessment done to see what irreversible damage they would do to the locale by their simple presence - you can't just take toxic stuff anywhere you know!!

Perhaps a nuclear bunker somewhere where there can be no harm done. :)
