Nope, definitely released by the Gillard posse, planting the seed that it was released by the Rudd crew in order to make it appear that the Gillard homies did it.
Word.
no you've all got it wrong.

What is undeniable is that the Labor Party was swept to power under Rudd and a rusted on PM even lost his own seat. He has every right to be annoyed at not being able to helm a re election campaign. Most people would have slinked off in a huff but he stuck it out as he is entitled to do. Personally I would welcome him back as ALP leader, preferably before the next election.
BTW the swearing brouhaha is a non issue. Swearing is common in Australia and many magistrates rule that it is no longer offensive. It is just another beat up non story!

Labor insiders ready for leadership vote next week
Snip-
February 19, 2012 21:02:12 Labor's leadership crisis appears to be near breaking point with supporters on both sides telling the ABC the brawl could be resolved as early as this time next week.
The Labor caucus is due to meet next Tuesday, February 28 unless a special meeting is called to put the party leadership, and therefore the prime ministership, to a vote. An earlier meeting seems unlikely as Kevin Rudd is overseas this week.
At this point, it is not clear if the Prime Minister Julia Gillard would call a spill for the leadership or if Mr Rudd would launch a challenge.
Factional powerbrokers have told the ABC's political editor Chris Uhlmann the issue must be brought to a head.
One member of the Gillard camp says, "There will be an outcome in 10 to 14 days but it's up to Kevin to call it."

I have a good old chuckle when Rudd is purported to be a martinet, tyrant, knobhead, autocratic, yada yada etc . There is no way of knowing if this accurate or just falsehoods spread by his political enemies.
What is undeniable is that the Labor Party was swept to power under Rudd and a rusted on PM even lost his own seat. He has every right to be annoyed at not being able to helm a re election campaign. Oh, I think there is a lot of evidence out there about Rudd's character.
I actually have no difficulty in him getting the job back. It would be even better theatre than we have now.
Its entertainment. Very little to do with government.

Yes, this line in particular is a cracker. Truly excellent stuff.
The source said Mr Rudd is likely to lose and then issued this vicious warning: "We will unleash bloody vengeance on all of those who brought this vampire back to life."

Part of me hopes krudd wins if only to satisfy that nagging justice/revenge angle. But I did enjoy the idea that we had our first female PM.
What a disappointment she's been however. As some have put it, the midas touch in reverse, with all the charisma of a ticket inspector on public transport.
The jockeying and intrigue of the leadership issue would make great sport/theatre.
The only thing that holds me back from getting really caught up in it is that I keep thinking.... aren't these people supposed to be RUNNING THE COUNTRY!

He said something about loyalty and principles and the reporter pretty much asked him "what loyalty and principles"? (I suspect in relation to how Rudd was kicked out). Thought he squirmed a bit.
He was then asked if he would quit the cabinet if Rudd came back to power.
More squirming.

Four words that sum up the modern ALP.
Careerists and operators as exemplified by the member for Dobell. Bit short of readies when it comes time to pay your 'hostess'....no worries, just whack it on the union card.
And these belly dragging scumbags end up sitting in our federal parliament?
Something is deeply, depressingly wrong with that picture.

He SHOULD still be Prime Minister! After all it was HE (NOT Julia) who was voted in by us Australians!
Well, not quite. Julia Gillard was voted in as PM at the last election. Did you forget?
BTW: Did you ever vote for Rudd?
If you didn't, then you have no right to complain either way.

Gillard did go to the last election as the leader of the Labor party
She formed government with the help of key independents because both Labor & Liberal had/won the same amount of seats

And he is wrong. Julia Gillard was voted in, along with the ALP, in coalition with the Greens and Independents. IOW: Gillard is the legitemate leader of this nation. And, I'll ask again (with more precision): Did SP vote for Labor, when Rudd was leader of the Labor Party?
If SP did not vote Labor, then he has no right to complain.

I guess one of the fundamental tenets of a free democracy is secrecy of votes. No-one, not even SP, can be obliged to reveal for whom they voted.
In any event, surely non ALP voters are allowed to complain about the ridiculous theatre that is happening in Canberra
