The Search on the site works well enough but once I've chosen a thread, how can I search within a thread to find the relevant post ?
This would be very useful if the thread extends over many pages.
Just a thought

Once you are in the thread, on the top right hand side there is a small menu and you will see "Search Thread".

Great idea in theory
I don't have the time right now to create such tutorials however.
It doesn't need to be a mod / admin that creates a tutorial either?

Using the new stereonet website, how do I use the 'Search / This topic' box to search for posts by a particular member in the topic?

Good question Arg. I've just tried a couple of things and didn't find an answer.
It's not a type of search that would be very common I imagine.
The only thing I can suggest unless someone else has a solution that I haven't discovered yet, is using the "Find" in your browser, and typing the username in there.
That will jump to their name within the page of the thread you are reading.
A workaround I guess for now, but not very helpful in multiple page threads.

Thanks Marc. I used it quite a bit on the old site, on longer threads.
