I can watch a lot of horror movies even with blood and gore just like the SAW franchise and put up with the studip plots and so forth. I have seen the Excercist, Omen, Deadly Blessing, Paranormal activity, Firday the 13th. Poltergiest and you just go "yeah" thats entertainment.

I watched a movie called "The Killer inside me". The first time in my life I had to stop and take a break and I just couldn't continue. This movie to me is so hard to see it through to the end. Then I spare a thought of those law and forcement out there that actually see this in real life on there day to day working life. I just wasn't prepared for this even if was made in a studio!!!

could you not watch because it was too disturbing (as in what Casey Affleck's character was doing) or because of the quality of the movie...?

I thought it was an OK movie when i watched it.

I usually cant watch horror movies. They freak me out

I haven't come across one yet. Pier Paolo Pasolini's Saló has this reputation of being the most revolting movie ever, maybe I watched it 30 years too late (only this year, in fact), as I quite enjoyed it.

The Human Centipede, on the other hand, from all accounts sounds like a movie I would have no desire to see all the way through. Apparently the sequel is worse.

I got one "close encounters of the third kind" supposed to be a really good movie, lots of rave reviews, yet neither myself or my partner could endure any more after about 1/2 hour. Maybe it's one of those ones you need to watch all the way through.

I agree; that Casey Affleck and Jessica Alba scene is very difficult to watch. In fact, Alba's character and the nature of her relationship with Affleck is disturbing as it was reinforced in the last scene at the house.

That sort of violence against women is really off-putting.

I can sit through anything good, not much really gets under my skin.

....the world record in our household for a fast turn off is "The Bachelor" from 1999......3 minutes and it was off and in the bin, followed by "Legally Blonds"

Couldn't stand 'SAW'. Watched about 15 minutes of the first movie, then turned it off. The formula they were using was so obvious from the start, and you just knew there were going to be a number of sequels. Haven't bothered with those sequels, not in the slightest bit interested.

I wasn't keen on 'The Transporter' either. I watched it right through, but it was a struggle.

I've never been able to sit through 'E.T. the Extraterrestrial'. I know a lot of people love this movie, but it just bores me silly to the point where I start falling asleep.

Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Knew from the first 5 minutes that it was going to be a struggle - terrible writing with poor acting, coupled with pretty bad CG had me turning off after 40mins.

emesbee: The original SAW movie was surprisingly good, for me. I generally can't sit through horror/slasher movies, but actually really enjoyed SAW. The sequels however have been barely a shadow of the original.

I struggled with the misogynistic parts of 'I spit on your grave'. Other parts of it were almost lame.

For other reasons; I really had to persist with Avatar & Australia.
They would have to be in my top 10 worst films ever. I continually cringed when I watched Austraylya.

+1 to hating Avatar too, terrible movie, excellent bluray test pattern :)

A Serbian Film is one of the worst films around (well, public films), haven't seen any more shocking and terrible than that, keen for suggestions if anyone has any.
Most people would likely switch off when things start getting weird (the newborn porn), but I found the ending scenes the worst.

You might not have any stomach contents after watching the first 20 minutes of Irreversible with Monica Bellucci.
Then there is yet another assault about halfway through that had me wincing and feeling quite ill. If you can though it is an amazing film, shot in 10 min segments and shown in reverse, ie the last 10 mins, then the second last 10 mins and so on to the first 10 mins at the end. This method may actually make the film more watchable considering some of its content.

I loved Avatar for the whole environment and presentation, it was a very polished off movie but i'm sure the story may not have been so popular.

One movie that I stopped watching was Blood Diamond, the scene where the guys come into the village and start shooting the people was really full on. I turned it off afterwards.

I wouldn't say it was a bad movie, but just not my kind of film.

I started watching the Producers and was hugely turned off by the fact that it is a musical. And to think I thought Sweeny Todd was a Triller/Horror, I just kept saying to myself "oh they are just singing as its the start of the film"....... It sure was Horr"or"able... lol

I also thought the Rocky Horror Show was a horror too... These films are most deceptive. It was one of the scariest films i've seen thats for sure

I can't stand musicals, it should be kept on stage, and not on the big screen :P

Hmm, 60's musicals. :D As kids, many times my sister and I would be dragged along to the cinema by our parents to watch one of those. Sound Of Music, Oliver, Paint Your Wagon, Half A Sixpence, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins, arrgh! (Actually, I didn't mind Mary Poppins at the time.)
