Hi all,

Have a Luxman powered sub with crossover switch and volume settings. Trying to set it up via my Emotiva UMC-1. It does not get verified when testing speaker levels and calibrations. Have a standard 2RCA to 2RCA plug at either end. Not sure why I'm not getting any signal at this point. Any ideas? TIA

Have you enabled the sub in the UMC-1's settings? I'm not familiar with either, but generally you must tell the AVR how many speakers are attached to it so it knows where to route the signals.

Also check you are plugged into the "Sub Out" jack on the AVR. I can hear you scoffing now, but believe me many an expert have done this and worse.

Thanks 68, have done both with no joy. Starting to think it may be a faulty cable but dont have a long enough spare to confirm. Have ordered a sub cable from Selby to test my theory

Does the sub have an auto/manual switch? A lot of subs don't won't to wake up in auto mode. Try switching to manual/on.

Have sorted my issue with the new cable. Obviously, an old faulty cable was the problem. All good now :)
