Nope just get some thickish lead from Jaycar and compare to the Monster you have. Might be a close thing.

Never heard of Amped cables either.

I used IXOS and AR sub cables.

Just ensure whatever you buy is adequately shielded (like Nigel said).

Even a digital cable (ie: 75ohms) will do the job.

Ebay is good for cheap nondescript cables. For subs I'm pretty sure you wont hear a difference whatever you spend.

They all sound the same.

Hi Paul,
Sorry haven't heard of Amped cables. I'm using Tara Labs Prism at the moment but thinking to use these http://www.wickeddig...uct/view/33/189

I use some cables from Dick Smith, Distinct+ branded. Got them really cheap as they were a very discontinued line (apparently). I spoke to the guy there, and he said that very little were left. This was about 16 months ago, so I doubt there are any left. But as an example, 10 meters of this cable was $30.

I use JIB cables for connecting dvd transport (silver disc player) to DAC (optical) Squeezebox touch to DAC (coax) and DAC to amp (phono) all good stuff and reasonably priced, plus you get a nice box to put your TT bits n bobs in (well that's what I do with mine).

Analogue setup: 1986 Townshend Rock Mk2/AO rewired RB250/Soundsmith retipped VdH DDT-II special, Marshall Leech head amp, Copland CSA-14, Castle Howards.
PC System: i7 win8, T Amp, Monitor Audio Monitor One.
Digital System: Squeezebox Touch, DVD P181 as transport for CD, Audio gd NFB2.

Plus 4 additional TTs

No Sub-woofers were used in the reproduction of this sound

I got mine from this place, works just fine. I bought a 10 m cable length, can't seem to find the same length but pretty sure it was one of the Neotech cables.

Did you end up finding anything? If so what did you end up with?
