Hi guys, I know it may be short notice and may conflict a bit with Pauls tour on the 20/11.the day after. I don't want to interfere with the Sunday event so I hope that many can do both.
But if it can get some legs I'll have a crack.
It's a Saturday afternoon and into the evening if anyone has the stamina, with a BBQ .
I don't want to leave it any closer to Chrissy as things start getting hectic with other functions.
For all the people that I know that have expressed interest it would be a great pre Chrissy opportunity for a gtg.

Of course all the usual suspects are welcome.

So far..confirmed.

Hey Grumps, looks like I'll be there. If you like, I could call you on the phone during the GTG and then you could say that you have heard 'the Illuminators'.

I hope to be there in the evening, after the golf at Royal Melbourne.

It wouldn't be new to me MSB - I rang the Bathurst MOB on the first Bathurst gig and told them to turn the music down.

Sure thing UM,except for this week.

Anyhow last night Whatmore came past for a few tunes and a couple of beers.
I think the final track was starting to get loud enough for the poor fella.
Well I at least waited till the end before I turned it up, until then I showed restraint(lots of it)

Joz,
Thanks VM for giving me a sneak preview of the speakers :)

Funny thing is I only realised how bloody loud that track was after you'd turned it off. Normally at that volume I'd expect clipping, compression, some other kind of nasty break up that would make it painful. But not the Illuminatis, they didn't even break a sweat.

On the other side, even at low volumes with quiet music, they were amazingly delicate.

I have to admit that at the HiFi show, I didn't think they sounded as good as they should have. I reckon at Joz's place they sounded much much better than at the show. Maybe it was all the people chatting in that room but I was amazed at how good the sound was in Joz's room. Hard to imagine speakers that size disappearing and getting out of the way of the music completely but that's exactly what they do

I found myself not analysing the sound, but just enjoying the music. And to me that's the best test of a system
I reckon it's been worth the wait.....

regards, Trevor

Had another session last night, this time with Benje late into the evening.:hiccup
Lots of tunes via disc, SB and HDD+ WD player.
Unfortunately the evening and red wine came to and end with Benje eventually walking home in the rain.
(How was the Golf Benje?)
Another most enjoyable evening with a fellow SNA'er.:thumb:

Ears are still intact, even though Benje didn't mind a bit more volume.
