Hay guys, I can't see a tape section here so thought this was the best place for this.

A friend gave me a pro cassette deck as in the title, it powers on and everything seem OK except when you hit play it stops after a few seconds, counter doesn't move and nothing happens with forward & rewind. I checked the only belt I could see with the top off and it appears to be OK, but I suspect there is something amiss elsewhere :thumb:

Does anyone have the service manual for this deck?

I checked all over the net and only found ones for sale and I haven't really got the budget to buy one...really ;)

Any help would be appreciated as I have a bit of a tape collection and with this deck they should sound pretty good.

Cheers
Ian.

Yeah, I had to buy mine for my reel to reels.

I think mine was only about $20........but it was a long time ago.

How much are they asking?

I think that guy has a good business going there because I couldn't find mine anywhere else either.
