Looks a bit like an exotic Kuzma Stogi. Yes, "caveat emptor"...

Like a Kuzma Stogi? Does my link only work for me?
A Stogi is a tonearm. The 1975 Gale GT2101 is a turntable. An extremely advanced one for the year of manufacture, using for example
- perspex everywhere, now very in fashion
- a floating top plate using opposing magnets
- a fully adjustable servo controlled direct drive platter (which you cant get parts for now)
And only 60 were made apparently. Owners were a who's who of the jet set, like John Paul Getty, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, etc etc. Each would undoubtedly have some story. Except the one in the link, which probably does not exist at this location.
There's an owners club somewhere on yahoo I seem to remember.
