it cost $5! If you've kept any memorable concert tickets, post them here.

I kept my concert tix for years, starting with the Dire Straits Brothers in Arms tour from 1986 and also from acts such including Billy Idol, Run DMC, Iron Maiden, Faith No More, Green Day, The Rollins Band (and also Henry Rollins spoken word gigs), Tool etc and only threw them out in a clean up last week! Damn.

I never kept mine. Wish I had though, then I would have proof I saw Led Zeppelin in 72.

I've found some more tickets, I obsessively kept them all and there were lots lots more, I can't remember where the others are:(

I was sitting next to Molly Meldrum at Suzi Quattro and picked up his backstage pass when it 'fell off' his coat, I was at Lou Reed when he was drunk and fell off the stage, Frank Zappa when he wore nothing but his guitar, Pretenders was a double bill with the Talking Heads, I saw the Faces 3 or 4 times, I can't remember Santana or Leon Russell at all:( Tommy had Keith Moon, Ringo and Billy Thorpe and Daryl Braithwaite in it!

It seems I can even recall the cost...! I suspect I might have a few more tickets kicking around; I know I have one or two programmes from some gigs - worth posting those in here?

I know that I paid $4.70 to see Led Zeppelin in 1972 at Memorial Drive in Adelaide, but I can't prove it.

I got all mine, they are stuck in plastic sleeves of lp's or in cd cases. One of the best was for free, one of my alltime favourites, sponsored by a top rating beer. The Green concerts in Copenhagen, Denmark. Van Morrison and Tuborg. Should happen more often. Lord Nelson Brewery Proudly Presents Neil Young.

My mate has held onto his '94 Nirvana concert ticket from London - cancelled of course when Kurt departed. Wonder if it is worth anything in a monetary sense.

I've got a big picture frame full of concert tix from 1984. Also have some picks and setlists which I've aquired at these concerts too, plus a drumstick........from Ian Paice!

I would like to post a pic of the frame but I don't know how to upload pics?

Any help out there would be appreciated, thanks.

Looks like you sorted the uploading pics bit, but Paicey's drumstick? I am jealous!

Did you break the glass with Paice's drumstick?

I like the frame, some good concerts in there, with some nice extras.

Ha ha, I caught Paisey's drumstick when he threw it out at the end of the Hordon Pavillian concert a few years ago.

Also got a pick off Steve Morse at woollongong Ent centre where he gave it to a security guy to pass on to me in the front row.

Also got Stones setlist when Lisa Fisher (back up singer) pulled it off the floor and threw it into the audience, and I caught it!

Got pick from Ronnie Wood at same concert (2003 Acer Arena)

Got pick from Tony Iommi at Heaven & Hell concert in Sydney (and was standing front row and dead centre of stage , just below The Late and Great Ronnie James Dio!)

Got setlist from Ben Harper show at Enmore Theatre (from roadie who ripped it off the floor and handed it to me.

Got some video footage also of some of the concerts Iv'e been to (not the best quality but good memories).

All good, I can't afford the expensive front row tickets that they have nowdays and my Missus doesn't have my taste in music, so the heavier concerts don't get much of a look in. But she has been to a few good ones with me, including the great Deep Purple. And I've worn out my welcome with Kiss concerts.

Well I get a lot of my tix. from ebay or scalpers who can't go for various reasons.

Got front row at Deep Purple (Win ent centre) for $50 off a girl just 5 mins before concert! She just happened to get tix. off Ian Gillan for every tour when they come to Aus. and she wanted to sit further back with her friends at this concert, so she was looking to just get rid of it quickly.

E-Bay is good too because you get a chance to check out the seating plan and look for tix in the area that suits best. And they can sometimes become cheaper the closer to the concert (depending on supply and demand).

I have my Pink Floyd tickets, Thebarton Oval Adelaide, can't recall the exact year, round about 1986 I reckon. They are inside a sealed box, inside a sealed bag, under an immovable object, in the back room which has a sign on the door "beware of leopard".

I don't think I'll drag them out.
