Hutchinson Builders have kindly loaned the iconic 48-215 FX Holden to Qld Museum , and locals can pay homage as well as witness it's restoration , the display titled " Rock Around the Block : Rock 'n' Roll George , Brisbane Legend " , also features stories from George's heyday.

Must get along to see it. He was an institution in Brisbane, still cruising from the '50s.

The Queen St Mall really killed things for him unfortunately.
Learn from the mistakes of others - you'll not live long enough to make them all yourself!

Love an old Holden with Spats.
I had a very Hot FJ back in the early 70's - no spats though, damm!

There was one floating around somewhere but it was years a go (it was PINK, thank goodness it went well) The colour was suppose to be Cranberry- Grape like the Valiant Chargers of the day

My wife's family knew and were friends with his family
I did meet him a couple of times I was a motor mechanic in my young days and we mainly talked cars ect

My first car was a 1964 EH Holden Premier, top of the line with leather seats

I remember seeing him in Queen St as a kid. Then as an adult I lived near him in West End for 20 years. We had the same barber and would stop and say gday now and then.

Can’t tell if you're serious or trolling hard. The internet has dulled my sarcasm receptors.
