Don't know if any of you other Mac users have noticed this, but I did just today.
When a thread page loads, the page keeps jittering up and down by about a line's depth.

I traced it to what I think is the problem. It's the Facebook Likes link at the top, where it has "Be the first of your friends to like this".

It's hard to explain, but Safari is constantly re-adjusting the line break on those words. The "this" at the end goes from being on the same line, to wrapping to the next line, and back up again about 3 times a second.

I don't know technically what's happening, but seems like the field for those words needs to be made slightly bigger.

Any one else experiencing this?

I've installed a Safari extension called DeFacer and another called FacebookBlocker to stop those buttons from appearing, so no I don't get the jittery thing.

What kind of Mac are you on? I've found the new SNA layout doesn't work right on a typical 1280-pixel wide screen, which is what the MacBook and 13" MacBook Pro have.

Lenehan ML2 Reference with "limited edition" stands < Ribbontek cables < Rega Elicit (direct input) < Ribbonflex interconnects < Metrum Octave < Dtek digital cable < Audiophilleo 2 < home-made split USB cable with Tevion Li-Ion battery pack < MacBook Pro with Audirvana+ doing upsampling and volume control

I'm on a Macbook Pro, but I'm experiencing this on a 30 inch monitor, which is 1920 x 1200. The macbook is 1440 x 900.

I will remove the Facebook like button guys. I'll hopefully get time tomorrow, so please let me know if it solves the problem.

No worries Marc. Just so you know, I'm not objecting to the idea of the button, just the jitter.
Thanks for your response mate.

Cheers

haven't noticed this on my 13" mbp at work, neither with external 23" cinema display, and no problem here on 30" iMac...

I've had the same issue. I thought I had nystagmus.

The only way I can get the jitter to stop is to 'Like" every thread from the Facebook link, then it stops jittering.
It only does it on some pages and not others.

Marc have you had time to look at this. There are very few threads I can visit without feeling seasick!

The like button has been removed - can you please confirm if this has solved the Safari issue?

It's a bit hard to say as my eyes are now continuously oscillating by themselves:)
It has fixed safari though. Thanks:)
