Puremusicgroup Adelaide now demonstrating the Playback Designs MPS-5 SACD Player

A few days ago I received the Playback Designs MPS-5 SACD player and it is a remarkable machine. Even fresh from the box I am hearing things that I have not heard from digital before. The MPS-5 takes approximately 500 hours to burn in so I expect to hear much more as it progresses. Does it match analogue? Not really sure yet but I think it gets a lot closer than I have ever heard from digital to date. I am very happy with the flexibility it has being able to play conventional Red Book CD's and SACD's as well as accept input from a PC based music server.
Full details are on the Playback designs website www.playbackdesigns.com.
Adelaide people feel free to call me for a demo
Cheers,
Simon

You've got good ears and a great system to hear the differences.
Look forward to may be hearing it one day soon.

Your rack makes it look small, which it isn't.

I'm not too far away from having my new system complete, so you will be most welcome to come over for a listen. Even though I've had a complete system overhaul, it is clear that this is a special spinner.

Looks impressive. It'd be interesting to know how it performs fed by a PC/MAC with RBCD and hi-resolution files via the AES inputs. Enjoy. - Regards, APS
Me too APS, Warwick runs a computer based system so might have some ideas on that soon. l am yet to make the leap into computer audio.
Cheers,
mondie
