mrasif
So my grandma wants to get my family a stereo+speakers for inside our house for christmas and she has no idea what to get and has asked me to figure it out and after doing a bit of research I still don't have much of an idea. Any good suggestions? Probably something like mid range?
EV Cali
Hi Alexandra You need to give more details. So are you thinking of an integrated amp plus some speakers .What do you want to connect to it and most importantly what is the budget.

blakey72
Usher S520 speakers might be a good start. Great bang for buck. http://www.carltonaudiovisual.com.au/speakers/bookshelves/usher-s520.html Maybe a nice Yamaha integrated amp http://clefhifi.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=34&products_id=2051 And a Cambridge cd player http://clefhifi.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=1158 Or a Project turntable if records are her thing http://clefhifi.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=36&products_id=2178
Phantom
I see you are in Vic ( hopefully Melbourne ) The best thing to do would be to go to a reputable dealer and discuss your needs and budget with them and based on their suggestions you could do some listening to see what you like ( and perhaps what you don't ) These are quite a few highly reputable and helpful dealers who can assist you and some of these are SNA forum sponsors. My suggestion is to pay them a visit to discuss your options
